The show was at La Luna, in Hamilton; it was my first trip to their new digs, which are quite nice. The place seats 60, maybe 80 people. There were probably double that many in attendance. Tegan and Sara seem to have attracted this group of *rabid* fans. I've seen them four times, and it's always been packed. Always. The Trasheteria in Guelph. The Bombshelter and Jane Bond in Waterloo. And, of course, Monday. Their fans cheer. A lot. T&S received hearty applause after every song. They played a good show, filled with their usual chatter, banter, stories and sister-bashing. :) I don't think they did any new material, just the usual -- stuff from their albums. Another thing I noticed was that Tegan and Sara attract a very diverse crowd -- age, gender, sexual orientation ... I felt left out without a girlfriend. :) Paul shad 96c / 4B CS / mac activist / eda / fumbler fan of / jewel / sophie b. / sarah slean / steve poltz / emm gryner / / x-files / buffy / dawson's creek / habs / bills / 49ers / t h i n k d i f f e r e n t. Napster is dead. Trying searching for anyone cool and you'll get the "nothing found" thing... I tried Sarah Slean, Emm, Sarah McLachlan... names that I know always produced lots of results last night and there was nothing. I guess their filtering thing works pretty well :/ On the other hand, there were still some indie singer/songwriters songs up... but not that many. :( jess next gig: May 7 @ 9 pm The Kendall Cafe (MA) opening for Emm Gryner. $5 cover www.jessicaweiser.com | www.mp3.com/jessweiser www.aftersilence.net -- web design for artists/musicians ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 26 Apr 2001 16:31:15 -0400 From: rturingan@dico.com Subject: Re: napster?
