Patti Griffin (Flaming Red & Living with Ghosts) - both $2.50! Buffalo Tom (Sleepy Eyed) - $2.50 The Farm (Spartacus) - $2.50 The Auteurs (Now I'm a Cowboy) - $2.50 Curve (Come Clean & Doppleganger) - both $2.50 Lotus Crown (Chokin' on the jokes) - $0.50 Counting Crows (Recovering the Satelites) - $2.50 Charlatans (Up to our Hips) - $2.50 Merrie Amsterburg (Little Steps) - $0.50 Dot Allison (Afterglow) - $2.50 Some bargains in there, lemme tell ya. see ya all! TANYA DONNELLY last nite ROCKED!! holy shite! peace, Seb :) ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 15 Feb 2001 09:37:50 EST From: Zelie519@aol.com Subject: I must add my two-cents << Subject: NEC: out of hiding/random comments but seeing recently all this publicity and attention Dido is suddenly getting, along with No Angel heading into the US Top 10 charts, I think it's pretty significant that many moons ago there were lots of us on this list proclaiming and raving about her CD, no? I just think it's rather interesting that we're aware of such greatness long before the rest of the world.>>>>>> I TOTALLY agree about the Dido thing! YOU GO LAURA!! Ever since that stupid Eminem song came out with Dido in it, people have been going nuts! (Personally, I CANNOT believe she'd even think of associating her AWESOME music with his trash... however, he's famous and being associated with him sure took her to the top fast so I guess it wasn't a dumb move on her part!) I've had many arguments with friends saying she should've been "noticed" for her AWESOME talent and not just because she sang a song with him. I remember traveling to Toronto last March to see her open for Tara. (Rob "piggio" posted yesterday about meeting her and getting our picture with her.) And we got to meet her again when she came to Cleveland and Akron, Ohio for shows last April. Few people at the Ohio shows knew anything about her. It was AWESOME to see her in a small venue and be up-close to the stage. This past December we saw her again in Cleveland... along with over 1000 screaming fans who knew EVERY word to EVERY song! It was a very surreal experience. I'm happy that she's "hit the big time" because she definitely has the talent and deserves it... but it's also sort of sad, because most of us were around when she was "smaller" and you could see her in the small venues and talk to her afterwards. (Although you could probably say the same thing about people who were around when other "greats" were just starting. I guess Matchbox20 frequented Cleveland A LOT when they were just starting out and have the same reaction as we are all having.) I hope our Emm and Tara and all the rest will gain that success one day... but at the same time, I almost hope they don't so that we can keep seeing them in the small venues and feel part of the performance. Is that selfish?? Does anyone else feel that way?? Ok... I shall come down from my soapbox now. I just HAD TO say something about this, because I'd been saying the same thing as Laura for awhile. Happy Belated Hearts Day to everyone!! ~Stephanie ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 15 Feb 2001 13:51:53 EST From: JewelEDA21@aol.com Subject: LIVING ROOM tour? HELP!!
