I was dropping off 7 rolls of film, 3 rolls from the Starling Danny Michel, The Supers show, and 4 rolls of Holga stuff. At the same time i picked up my Holga roll that i shot in Ottawa. Oh my Gawd they look awesome... I MUST SCAN THESE SOON.... Anyway, Queen Street, being a saturation of everything remotely "cool" , I walked into one of the newly set up used cd shops. I browsed through all the cool cds, seeing awesome deals like Dido, No Angel for 7.99.... but alas I already have it... GET IT if you don't. I ended up seeing this cd by Jessica Riddle, Key of a minor. I have never heard of the girl, but I proceeded to open it up and check out the artwork and liner notes. After going through the liner and checking out some lyrics and such... and noting that a lot of the songs were written by her, I decided to pick it up, hell is was only 7.99 Canadian... Well after listening to it a bit last night and a bit this morning. I urge you to check her out... It is some decent stuff... A very good cd to compliment any cd collection of lilith loving music fans. You can also check out her website at http://www.jessicariddle.com She is doing quite a bit of touring in the US at the moment, so someone can go check out her live show and tell me all about it. And check out her cd... Has anyone else heard of her... she is apparently from California... LA to be exact.... Cheers Rannie http://www.RannieTuringan.com ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 13 Oct 2000 07:18:38 -0700 (PDT) From: dana wagner Subject: Re: OAC: Jessica Riddle [torontofumblers] > Has anyone else heard of her... she is apparently > from California... Hey all! I just happened to pick up a random DC pseudo-newspaper yesterday and saw a review about Emm. It's not about any CD in particular, but I guess they were covering her because she was performing here at the Metro Cafe. They gave her five shotglasses out of five! :-) Anyway, much to my surprise, this publication is available online! http://www.ontaponline.com/cdreviews.htm Did anyone else listen to the GWRadio thing with Emm? I live less than a mile from the campus and couldn't get the signal at all. I listened to it on the web, and it was pretty good...for what it was. I didn't realize that the interview and broadcast of the DC concert were just part of a tribute show for David Bowie. Oh well.
