I am dying to go. But I live ten hours away. :-( I would really appreciate it if someone could post a review or setlists or something. :-) It should be an awesome show. I got to see Starling a couple of months ago which of course rocked, but I haven't had the opportunity to see Danny. Ron Hawkins (not to be confused with the old timer Roni Hawkins)ex of Lowest of the Low. all I can say is that this man rawwwks! and esp. since he will be accompanied by his rusty nails (horns and a sax). So I definitely (and I can not stress this enough) recommend that you make your way over to the Shoe if you live in T.o. BTW is there anyone who loves them as much as I do? Well I have said my piece ... Cheers, Eyes (Isaac) ____________________________________________________________ woof! woof! I'm sitting here at 2am trying to get an essay done before I leave for Columbus for the weekend... I decided I could definitely use some music so I pick out :oh you'll never guess who:.. yep, Ms. Gryner. And you know how you listen to one of your favorite albums after it's been a while, and you just realize all over again how much you f$#@ing love it. And you feel compelled to PUBLICly redeclare your love for it. So I'm telling you all right now, I love Public. Like I mean mad & passionate love. I want to run away with it to Tahiti or something. Okay that's the 2am talking, sorry. That's all, thanks for reading this far, I love you for humoring me. Wait-- want another pointless story? Okay cool. So my stupid English prof. was trying to give us an example of an argumentative essay, he said something like "people who listen to Canadian rock are 10 times more likely to develop schizophrenia"... oh man did I about lose it. Grrr. Luckily he used Celine Dion for the main example.. otherwise I would probably have thrown something at him. Okay just wanted to share that. Is there a way to capture this into a file? I will be in Canada without Internet access so I'll miss it. If anyone can somehow send this over to me, that would rock. If not, then I guess I have to miss out :( There's a new journal entry up there, too. Check it out. I just want to send out a big thank you to Stephanie (and others) who helped make my birthday an awesome one, and to those who conspired with her to get my present. see, Steph knows that Emm is probably one of my favorite performers/songwriters of all time, and that i am totally in love with her and her music. we have seen her live twice, but since we live so far away from Canada and other locales that she plays, we don't get to see her as often as we'd like. so she went through the extra effort of tracking down some people from this list and asking off-list if any of them could get a signed copy of Dead Relatives for me. even though i already have the CD, she decided i needed it signed. so she contacted Lauren Schreibenstein and sent her money, and Lauren out of the goodness of her heart picked up a copy of DR at the Washington DC show a week or two ago and had it signed. so imagine my surprise when i opened my birthday gifts yesterday at Steph's apartment and one of them was a copy of Dead Relatives, and on the inside was a personalized note that said "Happy Birthday Rob! Love, Emm Gryner"!!!!! woo hoo! Thanks Steph! Thanks Lauren! and Thanks Emm! You guys all made my day, Rob ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 06 Oct 2000 17:42:40 EDT From: "courtneylove@dork .com" Subject: quick question about starling i want to go but, its 19+ isnt it? get back to me asap! im talking about starling/danny michel + the supers xox _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com.
