[Songbird22@aol.com] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: Mon, 25 Sep 2000 11:31:51 EDT From: KNicky3116@aol.com Subject: SEC: weekend and Halloween show Hey everyone, Between last week and this weekend, I saw Sarah Harmer twice, and I also saw Aruna and Lisa Loeb. All shows were great. Lisa Loeb was last night in Providence, RI and I had an 8:30 class this morning. Ouch! I ended up sleeping at home and I drove up to school at the crack of dawn this morning. I didn't have much time to myself this weekend, but I did do some thinking. Right now, my life is a mix of The End and July. Of course I don't know *exactly* what Emm's singin' about, but I can totally relate it seems. Also, I made a post a few days ago but I'm pretty sure it didn't go through. There's a website for the pub that Emm's playing at on Oct. 21st. It's www.hanlonspub.com. They don't have much on the site, but there are some pictures to look at so you can get an idea of what the place is like. I hope everyone had a nice weekend. Nicky :) ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 25 Sep 2000 17:32:57 GMT From: "the wicked witch of the west" Subject: surf city hey all there is a REALLY cool new site up called Fashion Hurts that you should try to check out. if you remember the first emm t-shirts fro the livig room tour that were designed by KC Cove at dAb clothing, then thiss will be even more interest to you because they did a huge article on her and the new 'company' shes started called Crackers & Honey. its really good. http://www.fashionhurts.com the article on Karissa can be found in the fashion section. i wondered if a few of us e-maield them and asked them, if the'd do a feature on emm. is anybody interested? anyway, check it out and surf around. there's LOTS to see. woo! lata kr _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. I've never been there...my ticket says I'm in section GA, which I would normally assume means General Admission, but then it also says "row GA3, seat 31", so I'm not so sure. Speaking of SH, for anyone who's only discovered her solo stuff (and if you haven't, what the heck are you waiting for?), I'd also very, VERY strongly urge you to pick up the albums she's made with Weeping Tile...they have an EP (called "Eepee") and two full-lengths, Cold Snap and Valentino. For my money, they're the best band in Canada...Cold Snap is one of my all-time, stranded-on-a-desert-island favourite albums. If you think You Were Here is brilliant (which it is), just wait until you hear "Good Fortune" and "In The Road"! :) ************************************************* Mike Keast (michael.keast@giffels.com) http://www.geocities.com/dtswd/ "thank god i've got 3 minutes to tell you what i did today" ************************************************* ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 25 Sep 2000 15:48:36 -0400 From: "James McGarry" Subject: Re: Sarah Harmer - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Michael Keast" Sent: Monday, September 25, 2000 2:21 PM > All this talk about Sarah Harmer is getting me very excited for her show in > Toronto next month...does anyone know anything about this Trinity St. Paul's > Centre where she's playing? It's a church in the centre of town. It has reasonable acoustics there. Emm has played there at least once. It's a popular venue for an upscale acoustic concert. http://www.toronto.com/E/V/TORON/0013/09/46/cs1.html I'm pretty sure it's general admission, it's just a constriction of the ticket seller's software...
