There is a song by Royal City that I am completely in love with called "I want to go everywhere". I don't think that I can even articulate how simply beautiful this song is. KR made me a mix tape with this song on it and when it came on it was so beautiful that it made me cry. It's so simple and the words ...I can't even explain it.. I CANNOT! All I have to say is whoever that song was written about must feel so special and touched. I have listened to the song a million times and Im listening to it now. If I ever get married this will be the first song I dance to. Okay.. I will never shut up about this song so I'll just cut myself off! You must hear this song... you must.. it will bring tears to your eyes. I'll lay odds this is an Aaron Riches song... he has that schmoopy ability. Fans of Royal City (BTW Guelph is also known as the Royal City ;-) ) should check his two solo albums, available from Dave's Records of Guelph (DROG) www.drog.com , _Rain_ and _Over the Light Post_. You might also want to check out any of: Vivkie Fraser, Mike O'Connell, and Dave (The Dave in DROG) Teichroeb who have that similar 'heart-on-their-sleeve' approach to songcraft. c.f. that Royal City song with Vickie's "Half a Chance". Music365 has learned that recording for the album could start as after the band finish their UK and Ireland tour, which winds up in Dublin in October. The band are already thought to have finished their fifth album, and will mix it in November. The album is expected to include several tracks that the band have played on their recent live shows in Europe, including 'Knives Out' and 'Dollars And Cents'. It is described as being a more traditional alternative guitar album than the more electronic 'Kid A'. Music365 has learned that the band want to start recording another album as soon as possible - and with 'Kid A's successor rumoured to be ready for release as early as next spring, this could mean Radiohead releasing three albums within 18 months. Radiohead are also expected to continue touring in small bursts next year, which may see them return to Europe as well as visiting the USA, Japan and Australasia. A spokesperson for Radiohead, however, could not confirm any studio time before the end of the year. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! This is my first year going for a show, but they're returning DJs so we automatically get a time slot. Once I find that out I'll let you all know because you can listen via the WWW and I'll be playing some EMM! My friends had an oldies show last year, but they are open to my ideas and I think we're going to split the 3 hour show in half meaning I'll get to play people like Emm, Tegan and Sara (they actually have this CD on the playlist:), Chantal, Steve Poltz, and the like. Anyway, I hope you all have a fine weekend. I have to drive home to RI for my sister's wedding celebration so I'm gonna miss all the college parties, but I'll make up for it next weekend, or at the wedding reception ;) Nicky ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 14 Sep 2000 21:47:18 -0400 (EDT) From: James McGarry Subject: Re: NEC:Lindi and Rayanne On Fri, 15 Sep 2000, Lindi Rockstar wrote: > This be Lindi here to tell ya'll that I will be performing a show with > RAYANNE on sunday september 7th at The Free Times Cafe.
