'twas quite awesome, i must admit, and i had a great time. friday was Andy's b-day bash, fun fun. saturday, drove all the way up to barrie (a 45 minute drive that took 3 hours due to traffic!) to see Tara...but alas, as most of you know, she didnt show....luggage/equipment problems on the plane. very sad, but oh well. met up with Rob, Dana and Leigh (you guys rock!!! Dana---"hey, nice pants!"). went back to TO for the benefit show which was so completely amazing. Chelle was awesome, as were Emm, Sarah, Feist, Erin Smith, and then wow, i heard Andrea Florian for the first time...completely blown away! everything was so perfect at the show...'cept my butt hurt from sitting on the ground for like 5 hours! sunday nite was great too....seeing Tara at ted's wrecking yard where she just basically took requests (i almost got teary-eyed during Child! and Jericho was amazing too, everything was!). after that was off to see Emm play at a photo opening.....yay, more Emm, she rocks! sooo, it was a fun music-filled weekend for me....met alot of awesome people...me hopes to do more things like this in the future!!! ok thats the end of my posting for now! kristin - --- "It's funny how we feel so much, but cannot say a word, we are screaming inside although we can't be heard" I Will Remember You-Sarah McLachlan- - ---BEGIN FUMBLECODE BLOCK--- Version: 3.1b [TC1.0b] FuS exsl a++ Ifte lca r+ ps+ bs+++ t-- C+ w+++ p# LF+++ N++ cd#+ pr+ S--- m+ fc- E - ----END FUMBLECODE BLOCK---- http://home.collegeclub.com/LilithGdss/index.html ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 7 Aug 2000 05:30:02 -0700 (PDT) From: Mark Urban Subject: DR night... Does anyone know if Emm is the only one playing on Wednesday at The Lounge.... and does The Lounge have a website? I sure can't find one.... __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Kick off your party with Yahoo! The lounge books acts every hour from like 7-9 or 10, I think. I'm not sure about their website, but I don't think they have one. I know from booking my show that they just have a periodic email they send out. Anyway, at 8 pm Jenny Bruce is playing and she's a great folk/pop artist. One of her songs was featured on Dawson's Creek last year and she's been in the business for a long time. I'd recommend coming out to see her. I think I might be there early for that... Her website is www.goodgirl.com--I'm actually doing her new site design for her, it'll be up in a few weeks. So all of the info isn't current, but I think you can hear clips and stuff... The Lounge has some food...bar food... And a bar. Is anyone from NYC/NJ coming that is going back towards the Hoboken/Jersey City area after the show? I think I'm coming but I'm always nervous to go home at night alone... Been so busy I haven't had a chance to mention that everyone should rush over and check out some of the cool new updates on wonderful Toronto duo Wild Strawberries' page (www.strawberries.com, natch!). They've got a beautiful new album, Twist, coming out August 29th (on their own label and distributed through Universal), but Toronto folks can grab a copy at their instore August 25th at HMV Yonge St. Their upcoming tourdates are up on the page now, and be sure to check out the very cool Interactive Press Kit (IPK) with some gorgeous bran-new photos, an excellent bio and other bits and pieces of info. It's a great way to learn a bit about them if you're not already familiar with the band, and a nice treat for longtime fans as well. - - Tab :) ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 7 Aug 2000 17:43:33 -0700 (PDT) From: Lisa Marie Subject: Re: Last night's Benefit - --- Jordanē wrote: > Dead relatives rules, and I trust that everyone who > picked up their copy > last night will be busy enjoying it today! Hey All- Tonight I met two of the coolest people I ever have- Emm Gryner and Kristy Radford. Two awesome people that I will always treasure. I love you both! The show was a hit. Sorry for all who couldn't come due to it being a private show. Emm played my three favorite songs- Idaho, Summerlong and Serenade, dedicating two of them to yours truely. I also got to hear Half Sorry, which I am listening too as I type, which is a wonderful song. Dead Relatives is awesome! It's alot different then Science Fair, but just as beautiful. Emm also played Case of Tornados, which I had never heard and is now one of my favorites. Emm you must put this on the next cd!!!!!!! Emm was perfect! Her music was more energized then I had ever expected and both her and Kristy were so nice and so sweet. Two awesome people. I will never forget them...probally because I took so many pictures(if you were there you would know what I'm talking about.) Between asking Emm to marry me, chattin' with Kristy and Taking all those pictures, it was a night to remember. Thankyou both. I love you.
