Coming from the girl who is usually the crazy fan everyone looks at weird, it is kinda like "fitting in" to a group. You have a bunch of very enthousiastic folks at the front dancing around with each other, and it just looks like such fun. Of course I would like to be a part of it. It's almost like a club. In my concert going experiences I've almost always been a part of that "club" (heh, or some cases, been the sole member of the "club" :)) I was just thinking about the upcoming Ottawa folk festival and how Moxy Fruvous is coming. Now I love Fruvous, and I think Bargainville is their best album, but I don't own any others, nor do I long immensely for one. I still think they rock and wouldn't miss any opportunity to see them. But ahhhhh the fruheads :) If anyone has loyal fans, it's Moxy Fruvous. Often loyalty to the point of scariness, but I love those crazy folks anyway :) I was thinking about what that show will be like, and I KNOW I will find myself on the outside of the clubhouse door. As much as I like the band, I just can't measure up to the fruheads. But hey, that's okay, it's a great show. Even if those other guys might seem like they're having more fun than me :) Enjoy the benefit all, Shawna ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ shawna@fumblers.com AIM: Fumblefly fumbler\passenger\canmuser\headliner\resident mm/syl groupie **dancing around the handbasket**wink** - --------------------------------------------------------- "...no plan is the best plan of all..." -j.n. - --------------------------------------------------------- *Are you a Michaela Foster Marsh fan? So I wake up this morning dreading going to my stoopid job...I kept trying to think last night whilst I was about to sleep if there was any way possible that I could make it to the benefit show tonight at Cest what. I was scheduled to work from 1-10:30.. and I work in Scarborough.. I didn't think it would be safe to take the subway Down Town by myself at that time of night...I work in da Ghetto. I was really really sad and distraught cause on Friday I was chillin wif KR, Chelle, RANSTAR, Andy, Lauren, Matt and the rest of the crew and they were all talkin about the show and making me jealous that I couldn't go! So sadly as I got ready for work today I prayed to Tori Amos.. I worship Tori like God.. she is my religion. I said : "Dear Tori; It really bites the goats ass that I have to work today.. is there anyway you can work your glittery magic and make a miracle so that I can go to that fabulous benefit concert tonight. C'mon Tori.. its for a good cause and It would be worth it. I promise to spread the word of your goodness to the whole wide world if you can make this miracle. I love you always; your adoring fan; Lindi well... you just wouldn't believe what happened 2 minutes before I left to go to work. Proof that Tori is a miracle worker... My work called me and said the store was dead and that there is no need for me to go in. Well.... I jumped up and down like a hairy nosed wombat on crack!!! Now I am going to da show and Im way to excited to talk anymore. The moral of the story.... Pray to Tori Amos... it works! See ya'll at the show. yee haw; Lindi www.lindi.lovesmusic.com ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 5 Aug 2000 14:32:45 -0700 (PDT) From: Laura Robeson Subject: NEC: Tara MacLean in Coyote Ugly I cannot even begin to explain how awesome and absolutely perfect Coyote Ugly is. I walked out of the theatre and couldn't speak. It literally has it all (well, in my opinion anyway).. but anyway, to get to my point, as some of you may know, the awesome Tara MacLean has a short little scene in it.. playing "That's Me" if I recall correctly, I was too excited to see her to remember. I was thrilled. The only bad thing.. not sure if anybody else has seen the movie or noticed, but they spelled her name wrong in the credits!! Seriously, it came up 'Tara McLean' which I thought was rather unprofessional.. yeah, it's only an 'A' but still. Anyway, that was the only bad thing about the movie, the rest will leave you speechless.. or maybe I'm just weird ;) ~Laura ===== "You are what you do in order to prevent becoming what you're busy not doing and if you do do it truly and you arrive at it newly then in the end you are absolved and the problem of heaven is solved." ~Ani DiFranco~ __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
