It will be well worth the dig if you find it :) This Business of Art is cool too. A couple of the redone songs sound pretty interesting...a couple should not have been tampered with. The new songs are interesting. I love the way they fit so many words into one line :) That sucks about the contract. I think they could sell a lot of old ones. When I saw Tegan and Sara at the Open Doors Benefit near the beginning of the month. I called to Sara and she said that it was no longer available... She did say that they would probably re release it in a year... dunno how true that is, cause from my understanding she said they probably have about 50 copies left of the old cd. In either case I slipped her 20 bucks at the end of the show and last week or the week before I got it in the mail. SMILES... I think their first album is great... I have yet to pick up their new one... maybe on Thursday (payday) we shall see.... Cheers Rannie www.rannieturingan.com And for those of us who want to check out T&S's first album? The Hit List with Tarzan Dan was my introduction to popular music (which, at the time, not long ago, was "alternative" --whatever the hell THAT was :)) There was ALL kinds of music on that show! Everything from Moist to Soundgarden to Ace of Base and Boyz II Men. And Canadian showcases too. Maybe it was varied like that due to the hazy catagorizing of "alternative" music. Anyway, there was some variety to the mix. A little while ago, when I checked out the new Hit List ( hosted by three girls now), I was disgusted. EVERY single freakin song is the same. People like BSB and Britney have 2-4 songs on the same chart, and their spinoffs take up the rest of the space. If this is really true that most kids right now listen solely to that kind of music, I am saddened. Otherwise, the PJs have gotten annoying and the station has some strange new image...something like "keep it weird" :) But yeah, it did start a lot of things...Whose Line is it Anyway began it's airings on YTV...and there were plently of interesting and informative youth shows when I was younger, like Roundhouse and Catwalk. I was thinking of rambling on about that new show I just read about today called Popstar (not YTV related :)), but I think I've blabbered too much already...although I am interested in what you guys think, if you've heard about this already.
