Just got back from coffee and intensive discussion about music with Slicky. We are on our way down to the rehearsal for this English TV show, TFI Friday and all is well. DB put on a wonderful couple of shows this weekend at the Roseland, despite coming down with laryngitis on Saturday. A man has never looked so stunning in a sailor's outfit. I had a blast onstage and my clarinet duet with Dame Dorsey proved finally that all of those classes with Mr. Brennan in grade school were not just a waste of time. My musician pals Stuart Cameron, Danny Michel, Roger - from the Cure, Megan (who's in the side-band Nurse), and lots of other friends came by...which always makes the show even more fun. Even the Bootlegger came by, only to accuse me of squeaking on my clarinet in front of all my boyfriends. The Glastonbury Festival is right around the corner. This band Wheat that I love will be there, but unfortunately not on the same day as David. This will be my first time at Glasto, and who knew - I'll probably spend more time backstage than on site, although pals who've played the festival tell me backstage isn't much to gawk at. Go out to the healing fields and try 5 different kinds of LSD. Or not. Rockstastic Felix Tod has almost finished our first mixes of my new hits and I'll be checking that out over the weekend. Aside from this I've been enjoying being back in London (my home away from home) and happy to run through the park and be out of midtown manhattan. Dead Relatives artwork is being hammered out over the phone, and in the meantime, webmaster Steve will be posting a few tracks from the record. I chose two of my favourites for posting...a song called "Yellow" that's about 5 years old and a cover of a song by Vincent Gallo called "Lonely Boy". Both kind of move me... Okay, lobby call in ten minutes...dizzy, dizzy, dizzy. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Get Yahoo!
