(www.aquezada.com/trish) here's an analogy: imagine there's a knock at your door. outside are a pair of fine upstanding jehova's witnesses. maybe you like talking to strangers about god. maybe you dont. maybe you'd love to invite them in, chat, have some coffee and do some group prayer... but you happen to be much too busy at the moment. it's nice to have that peep-hole so you know whats going on b4 you open the door. and oh the options that allows you!: answer the door, dont answer the door, talk to them, ignore them, tell them to bugger off or explain that you are busy sacrificing lambs to john lennon's ghost and then selling videotapes of it on Ebay to support your greedy godless capitalist lifestyle. you know- whatever. the canadian rob. ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 4 May 2000 03:21:22 EDT From: JewelEDA21@aol.com Subject: Re: NEC: Cat Power In a message dated 5/3/00 7:56:29 PM, COoLCa7@aol.com writes: << does anyone on here like Cat Power: aka Chan Marshall, because I fuckin think she's great. cat >> CAT POWER IS ONE OF MY FAVORITIST BANDS! Okay so at the Tara show I saw Attila with his awesome copy of Gig that Tara's on.. awesome picture I must say.. so while I was at Meijers today I checked the magazines to see if they had it and sure enough they did! Woohoo, so I got it.. but I'm kinda confused. I haven't thoroughly checked the whole magazine but there doesn't seem to be a trace of Tara in it at all.. not even her name mentioned on the cover. Am I overlooking something or did they just use the picture and that's it? Let me know.. maybe I'm just having a really out of sorts kinda day.. you know how that goes. ~Laura P.S. By the way, I agree with everyone who said they greatly appreciate all the recommendations they've gotten through HG, I'm the same way. If someone says a particular album is good, that's all I need to hear. I just go 100% on your opinions now, and I haven't been disappointed yet. So thanks again, you guys rock :) ===== "I'll be checking out the scenery From as high as I can be Come let faith be your garden Always changing always still Still breathing" *Tara MacLean* __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? That's all I mean to say -- a) label your posts correctly, and b) don't crosspost just for the sake of crossposting. (b) is just good netiquette; it should be true for any other lists you're on. For instance, if you're on a Chantal list there's no reason to continually cc your headline-girl posts there, right? Unless you have a good reason for doing so. - - Julian [ Julian C.
