Now that sentence didn't make a whole lot of sense, did it? What I meant to say was that I joined just after I got back from Ireland, and I posted the travel story first to FTE and meant to post it to headline-girl too, but Julian was ahead of me. I guess that's what happens when you use cut-and-paste without thinking. Sorry for following up to my own post, but I just thought I'd correct myself. We also decided that the family of the band are of no use when it comes to trying to decipher verses from hits of the 80's. I was like "hey thanks, it's from Canada!" Hehe, I thought that was pretty cool. I had it hanging on my bag because unfortunately it just doesn't look as good on me and it does for you all. But still, it's always with me! Oh and one other thing I wanted to mention... did anyone happen to catch Ani DiFranco on Leno the other night? It was Friday actually.. I was just about to fall asleep and I hear "tonights guests are blah blah blah and Ani DiFranco".. I sat up and I'm like "what??!!" because the last I knew, she didn't do popular media stunts like late shows. Anyone else catching this little slide from her usual MO? I let the VH1 thing slide because it's not as bad as MTV, and then there was 120 Minutes, and now Leno. Now dont get me wrong, she did have an awesome performance and I enjoy seeing her on TV, but what ever happened to "open fire on Hollywood, open fire on MTV..."??? I'm thinking maybe this is all a big joke and she's just humoring the media, but a part of me is quite afraid that it's not. I guess it's stupid to make such a big deal out of this, but to me it's a sign of her slipping into the mass media mainstream doldrum music hell we call the music industry these days. I adore and worship her for many reasons, one being the way she stays seperated from all the traditional tactics of succeeding in the music world and still she continues to do well. So it's kind of disappointing when I see her giving in lately.. Is this making sense to anyone or am I just losing my mind?? AHHH I think I am, sorry. Must've had a little too much candy today. Happy Easter everybody. ~Laura ===== "I'll be checking out the scenery From as high as I can be Come let faith be your garden Always changing always still Still breathing" *Tara MacLean* __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
