It's on a fabulous album called "Acadie" he's one of Canada's best songwriters/producers. He's worked with everyone big and small, from Ron Sexsmith to Bob Dylan to Scott Weiland, to the now, sadly defunct Luscious Jackson, to Brian Eno and loads of peeps in between. I love O Marie from Acadie, it is a beautiful, acadian-influenced song. If so, please email, IM (Bexcaisanerd) or ICQ(14817711) me :) I just finished reading "The Virgin Suicides" (not Sofia Coppola's version - the original book) and it was quite interisting, while it was slow at times, and at parts poorly written I definitely enjoyed it. Woo. And about vertical horizon - i saw them open up for Tori, Marcy Playground and Ben Harper in December, they were decent. Happy (early) earth day, kids! Its pretty basic poppy kind of stuff, lot of ballad-sy (my own made up word) type of stuff and a few rockers here and there as well. Not normally into that kind of stuff myself -- I normally find myself listening to mostly female artists and indie bands like Pavement, Built to Spill, Yo La Tengo, etc. But my friend Stephanie (Zelie519@aol.com), who is on this list, made me listen to them on a couple of recent road trips and they are pretty decent. I do like the CD and plan on getting it myself eventually. what the hell, it can't hurt. everyone needs a couple good poppy kind of CD's in their collection anyway! regards, Rob ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 20 Apr 2000 22:57:30 EDT From: Piggio@aol.com Subject: Re: tara mac In a message dated 4/20/00 2:55:24 PM Eastern Daylight Time, markurban@mailcity.com writes: << Hey James, isn't his name spelled "Lanois"? >> Yes, Mark is right on the spelling.
