It got pulled because Huey Lewis & The News gave permission for their song to be used in the movie, but not on the soundtrack. That's the official line, anyway. So if you have an advance copy, quick, sell it on eBay for sixteen billion dollars! :-) - - Julian [ Julian C. 'oh no, you can't put my song on the album. i wouldn't > want anyone to hear it and start liking our band!' Frankly HL&N could use all the exposure they can get, since they're so terrible IMHO :-) But I think it had more to do with the fact that the producers /paid/ HL&N for the rights to the song. In fact according to yesterday's newspaper, what happened is that the director used the song in the movie first, and THEN convinced HL&N to sell the rights. Apparently HL&N weren't too happy with the fact that the song was used as the background to a scene where Christian Bale is slicing open someone's head with an axe :-) so they were paid $150,000 for the rights. Reminds me of when The Knack decided not to let Stone use "My Sharona" during an anal rape scene in "Pulp Fiction" (or maybe it was "Reservoir Dogs", who knows :) ) - - Julian [ Julian C.
