Actually, after that description, yes, i CAN imagine how surreal it must have been. i've only seen Emm live twice (so far, there's always the future!), but I would just LOVE to hear her bust out some "classic" Emm a la the TOLY era. not that i don't love all her current stuff as much as anything else, it just seems like i don't see it in anyone's setlists much. Rob NP: Yo La Tengo's "And then nothing turned itself inside-out" P.S. - Woo hoo!!!! Emm actually mentioned in her most recent journal listening to "great new records by some band I've never heard of (Wheat) and Yo La Tengo". aaaahhhhhh.... such impeccable taste in music, the lass has. my fantasy? I'd just love to sit for a day and have a music listening party with Emm. such amazing taste! ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 2 Mar 2000 00:37:26 EST From: Piggio@aol.com Subject: Re: Dido/Tara MacClean In a message dated 3/1/00 10:34:13 PM Eastern Standard Time, HulaCherry@aol.com writes: << Just trying to figure out who all is going to Dido on the 8th!! (well, maybe not with bells...) but Steph and I will be making the jaunt northward. we're actually leaving on Tuesday, March 7th, and we'll be in Toronto until Friday the 10th just hanging around. I hear Rayanne has a LRC that night... thinking of maybe going to that if i can switch my Saturday hours at work with someone... If you do plan on going to Rayanne's LRC please make sure you RSVP with Rayanne, cause space IS limited. But it is an excellent line up. Chelle is opening up with a few songs, followed by a set from Dylan White and then of course the ever popular Rayanne will be bringing down the house for us. admission is 7 dollars, but you will receive a free cd single with the cost of admission. As for the Tara, Dido, Dayna concert... I think this will be the plan. I will most likely be getting off work at 3 pm in time for the instore at 4pm. I figure I can make a dinner reservation for 5:30 (I presume that should give us more than enough time) and figure that we could be in line for the concert by 7:15-7:30 at the lastest. What do you all think..?? As for places to eat... between HMV and the venue there isn't anything spectular. I can make reservations at Zelda's if people like, however I do know there may be some resistance to that, but I think the majority of the attendees have not been there yet. Otherwise I dunno where we could go.. the Golden Griddle perhaps... (hell it is inexpensive.. and that is always good) Here are the people that I know will be in attendance Rannie Turingan Michelle Turingan Julian Dunn Mari Wilson Abbie and her Friend from Michigan Rob and Steph from Ohio Attila from Michigan Edward from San Francisco Kristy McCourt and Sean Unsure if they are coming My friend Sal from the Tara list Tab I presume is not gonna miss this show. Roberto, you haven't told me if you were coming for sure And I don't know about any other local headliners... Steve? James? Please get back to me ASAP if you plan on joining us. So I can make appropriate arrangements for dinner. Cheers Rannie >excited to say that this non-Canadian will be there with bells on!!! Hey All! I'm thinking of auditioning for my school's Select Chorus (all My Chorus friends are telling me I should And I was planing on auditioning). The Only Problem is I need to do a 60 sec. A capella and I can't think of any song other than Sarah McLachlan's Fear that will show of My Higher Range (I Normally Sing soprano)And Will stay away from my lower range. I think thought that Fear is too high for me to sing for the audition. Any Sugetions? The Audition is not till April. Thanks!
