It was really nice to meet everyone... Thanks to the hosts too, Kim, Seb, and Steph. - - After 2 years of adoring the Unbelievable Truth I finally got to meet and hang out with Nigel... what an amazing musician and cool person. :) Hopefully I will get to do some work with him in the future *crossing fingers* - - Emm/Nigel together was the coolest thing... - - Emm's new song "Parting Song" is absolutely beautiful... sad, but so beautiful. - - Kristy rocks :) I want to write more but there isn't really a way to summerize everything or fully explain what an amazing time it was... I will try to write more tomorrow, I guess, when I've recovered :) Thanks again everyone... esp. Emm/KR/Nigel for a great weekend and being so awesome to me.... :) Jess www.aquezada.com/jess | www.mp3.com/jessweiser ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 14 Feb 2000 02:23:28 EST From: "Thomas Miles" Subject: emm and the boston lrc's hey guys, well, vicki and i just got back from a very long and rainy/icy ride back from boston. needless to say, both kim and steph's lrc's were incredible! it was great to see some old friends and meet many new ones. everyone sounded awesome, especially nigel and emm together. their voices just blended perfectly. kim and jess, you guys were awesome, can't wait to hear the new cds. :) mucho thanks to everyone for an unforgettable weekend! oh yeah, if anyone's going to boston (or anywhere else for that matter), absolutely do not rely on mapquest for directions. i dunno how many times they had me driving down streets that either didn't exist (except on their map) or making turns where there were none, etc etc. but at least we got to see some pretty interesting areas of boston, even if not by choice. take care, tom :) ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 14 Feb 2000 12:29:31 EST From: Piggio@aol.com Subject: Re: Emm Setlist at Seb's House../Serenade In a message dated 2/13/00 8:02:37 PM Eastern Standard Time, DRotter154@aol.com writes: << Yeah I asked her to play that at Laura's house but she wouldn't, >> I remember that. she said she wasn't good enough at guitar yet and that she had to practice a bit more before she could play that one live. Just figured that I would send along a short message to let everyone know how my Valentine's Day has gone so far...I promise that it won't be sappy at all though. Anyway, on the way to class this morning, there was a huge puddle in the middle of the sidewalk...so I had to step onto the grass and go around it. So, when I stepped onto the grass, there was a little bit of ice left over from the cold weather we've been having....needless to say, I slipped on the ice and took a full gainer onto my backside. Soaked through on my posterior hemisphere, I decided to turn around, go home, and change clothes. I rushed home, changed and headed back out to class. On the way back to class, at nearly the same spot that I took a full gainer the first time around, my umbrella was blown inside out and then snapped because the wind was so strong. I somehow managed to get my umbrella folded back up and started walking again...but not 15 steps further along the path, my hat was blown off of my head. It went tumbling down the sidewalk behind me and into a huge puddle...and from the puddle, it blew underneath a parked car. So, once I had recovered my hat, I went to class...and I sat through the entire class soaked through from rain and looking like an idiot with massive hathead (I couldn't wear my hat because it was soaked!). After class, I decided that I was going to go home and change...again...and then regroup and go to my other two classes. Well, on the way home from class, I was sure to avoid the sidewalk with the big puddle...instead, I walked down the opposite side of the street. Well, when I went to cross the street to come back to my dorm, a FedEx truck flew by and went through a puddle...soaking me through all the way up to my waist. Tired and frustrated from how my day had been going, I decided to come home, have a few beers, listen to some music, and skip my two classes. So now I'm three sheets to the wind and home safe and sound in my apartment...and Valentine's day is taking a step up right about now. To everyone who is paired up today, I wish you the best of luck. To everyone else, follow my lead and mellow out with a few beers. Thought you all might enjoy my story...
