I wasn't sure at first about going back to Toronto and then Sarnia but there's not a doubt in my mind that I made the right choice. Even though I spent most of the time in a car and/or bus, even that was fun (although I did have to be a bombaclot)! Thank you Thank you Thank you to everyone who made it such a kickass time. ESPECIALLY Trish for being my personal chauffeur. Oh, and Andy for giving me a nice, warm bed to sleep in. :-) And Michelle for coming out Wednesday despite her illness. Emm rocked last night!!! Although I must admit we were so inebriated had she stood there and played "I'm a little teapot" for 45 minutes I probably wouldn't have known the difference. I think we sang her entire set along with her. I doubt the people by us were too happy. The best part of the set had to have been when Emm covered Madonna's "Holiday" and had us ALL go onstage and sing and dance. I think everything from the rest of the evening is a bit hazy but I know it was fun! There was some mad hacking going on this morning. I'm just sorry it all ended so quickly. I am very glad we all lived through it though! No Apocalypse! I'll try to get back to canada again *really* soon and we'll have to do it again! Lauren P.S. Thank YOU for TPing with me Laura. And for sneaking into the closed Blockbuster to attempt to get some posters. _______________________________________________________ Visit Excite Shopping at http://shopping.excite.com The fastest way to find your Holiday gift this season ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 2 Jan 2000 08:32:07 EST From: TrishTLC@aol.com Subject: All I need is Ticket 226939 Hey everyone, It's my turn to post about one of the best nights of my life...so far. I played many roles while in Sarnia....Camerawoman while the Americans TP'd Emm's car, the person who drank their bottle of champagne fastest before the show, one of the 8 people who sang along obnoxiously loud(like lauren said) to *ALL* of Emm's songs, one of few who got to go on stage and sing a couple lines to Holiday, the first(and only one)to reveal the contents of my stomach(I think it got up to 8.5 times right Alvin?) I got a prize for it too! (nail polish remover used by Ms. Gryner herself! woo hoo more alcohol!) Thanks to Lauren for that. I was the reigning champion of The Movie Game, aka Bomb, which means I am the official Bombaclot ruler! Ooh yeah apparently I almost got into a fist fight for throwing my gum at someone! I think I might be in the Sarnia newspaper with Alvin too because while everyone was singing along and being loud, press people were taking pictures of us and this guy asked for my name and Alvin's name and I told him we were from Detroit - represent! I believe KR will be featured too! In the morning, we all just hacked our little brains out. Who knew you could have so much fun in a Harvey's parking lot? I just wanted to say to Alvin, Laura, Lauren, Kristy, Roberto, Steven I., and Andrea - you guys are da shiznit to hang out with and thank you Alvin for practically carrying me back to the hotel! until next time boys and girls... I have a setlist that Dan was kind enough to give me. What it says is New Years Day, July, Your sort, Good Riddance, Southern Dreamer, Doomsday, Phonecall 45, Holiday, Summerlong, Disco Lights, Boy Races, Stereochrome. However I believe her set was cut short. I don't remember too much but I don't think she got to the last 2 or 3. Trish should know. Laura, that set list I gave you was different right? That must have been a rough draft that she changed or something. Yeah the one I have has July, Your Sort, Good Riddance, Southern Dreamer, Acid, New Years Day, Revenge, Phonecall, Doomsday, Holiday, Disco Lights, Boy Races, Stereochrome, and Summerlong... but I remember enough to know that she didn't play all those and they weren't in that order.. so who knows. Does *anyone* who was there remember?? ~Laura __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Talk to your friends online with Yahoo! Well, no one got arrested (that i know of) but I must say that it has been an interesting past few days. Starting off with the amazing show at Ted's Wrecking Yard on Wednesday. I already said it was awesome in a previous post, I know, but still. It was great to hear songs like "89 Days...", "July", "Doomsday", "Good Riddance" (WOO!) and yes, it was even nice to hear "Acid" again that night. The Sarnia show was a totally different atmosphere. Where Ted's we were just blown away, the Sarnia Sportsplex show was get the down with your bad self and scare the locals while screaming along with Emm. Sorry I can't give you all an accurate set list, but I believe she started off with "New Years Day" and ended with "Summerlong". Somewhere in between she played "July", "Doomsday", "Phonecall 45", "Southern Dreamer", "Good Riddance" (WOO!), "Disco Lights" and of course, "Holiday". Am I anywhere near right? It was indeed a very interesting evening. I hope everyone else had a safe and enjoyable evening as well. Thanks to everyone who made the past few days memorable. You're all a bunch of drunks but I love you anyway! Oh yeah, I got the CD single. I'd just like to say that "Idaho" is the best song in the entire universe. - --andy-- AIM: TheAndyC ICQ: 10294764 "insanity it seems, it's got me by my soul to squeeze" ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 2 Jan 2000 23:35:35 EST From: TrishTLC@aol.com Subject: Re: emm on new years? New Years, Your Sort of Human Being, Good Riddance, Southern Dreamer, Doomsday, Phonecall 45, Holiday, Summerlong, Disco Lights, in that order. tlc ------------------------------ End of headline-girl-digest V2 #318 ***********************************
