(raye's entourage took up quite a bit of room. :) anyway, so rayanne gets two bars into her set, and i -knew- she was going to me *on* tonight. wow. :) man, she was amazing. i was pleasantly surprised by how well she worked with the band. raye's voice is powerful enough (and the sound tech is good enough) and she wasn't drowned out _at all_. very nice drum work. yeah to chelle :) who had lots of fun, was oh-so-slightly inebriated and still managed to pull together a great set. happy birthday, girl. (how'd the exam go?) trishee was, of course, lots of fun. what crazy covers. and on the piano, too. someone get that girl a steinway grand. i missed her drum bit, though. :) got to play "small world" with karen and pete. seems to happen to me a lot at shows. learned how to pronounce aquezada (thanks, julian!). laters. Hey guys, I'll warn you in advance, this is a completely pointless post. Just thought I'd share my latest creation *gets mad scientist look on her face* .. see Alvin's site (http://emmsfans.arecool.net) inspired me to get a cooler domain name (yeah I'm a big dork I know)... but seeing as it's 1:30 in the morning, I couldn't come up with anything cool or relevent, I'm too tired. So I settled with "http://Canadians.AreAwesome.net" ...even though my page has Americans on it too, I figured what the hell, Canadians seem to make up a majority of my favourite singers. And so on the 8th day God created Canada and he said "this is what it's all aboot." Jeez can you tell I'm slightly just a bit insanely tired?? Haha, ok sorry guys for the pointless email. Just trying deperately to amuse myself. ~Laura "..and I said hey, what's going on?" ===== "Make it, make your way home Better than the last Break it, break the alone Take a second chance.." - -J.H. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? I'm sure everyone else will agree that they were just cute. Because we all know that if we laugh too hard at you that you'll bring a world of Detroit-style hurt on us poor unarmed Canadians. ;-) That also reminds me that I still have the soundboard DAT that Emm made at the first NS showcase... the first "pre-Aquezada" gig if you will, the one with Jess and Rayanne and Dylan... Not sure what I should do with it, since I don't have a DAT player myself. By the way, I thought everyone was great the other night. The band thing worked well for Rayanne, it was fun watching Trish screw up (just teasing!) but the most fun of all was watching Rannie give his little sister multiple blow jobs. I mean, I know it was her birthday, Rannie, but... :-) Steve ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 18 Dec 1999 17:09:52 EST From: Songbird22@aol.com Subject: Re: c'est what boot Steve says: > That also reminds me that I still have the soundboard DAT that Emm made at > the first NS showcase... the first "pre-Aquezada" gig if you will, the one > with Jess and Rayanne and Dylan... Gee, Steve, I have a few ideas of what you could do w/ it... the first would be, um, destroy it. ;) That was a fun weekend but wow I did horribly... I think Dylan is looking for a copy, btw, you might see if you can loan it to him ... This past week was pretty hectic with finals, packing, and going to Toronto but besides the exams it was so much fun that I'm actually pretty bummed to be home. Thanks to everyone for making those couple days in Toronto such an awesome awesome trip!!! Rayanne, Chelle, and Trish were all amazing as usual. For anyone who hasn't heard Chelle's newest song, you have to get a copy of it because it is truly beautiful and I would have to say the best song she's written. And Trish, you didn't blow chunks! Chelle's the only one that did that.... Your set certainly spiced up MY life. The one thing that was missing from the evening that would have made it even MORE wonderful was Andy. :-( Hopefully I'll make it back to Toronto soon for more of that crazy Canadian style fun!
