Why don't i just write a list of CD's that I have really enjoyed this year and that I am glad I have purchased.... Note this list only is comprised of MY purchases and is baised solely on MY opinion. Well I really must start with my girlies... The Aquezada Girls. Tricia Concepcion: Anything is Everything - wonderful cd (dance with me baby) Jessica Weiser: Transition - can't wait to hear her first full length Chelle: Give orTake - okay I am biased, but very proud I guess I am biased by all of the above, but I have worked so closely with these girls and hope for all the best for them in the coming year. Rayanne... i am waiting for your cd.... Emm Gryner: Science Fair - well of course, how could this cd NOT be on this list, Emm a true inspiration. Tara Maclean: Passenger - great disc... love it and tara is such a sweet heart. I likeily had the pleasure of introducing both Tara and Emm at my C'est What show... Luscious Jackson (their new one) - dunno if this is 99 but I got it mid summer and it rocks. Beth Orton ( her new one) - i think this is 99.. such a soothing cd. Chantal Kreviazuk: Colours, Moving Still - awesome disc... The Corrs: Unplugged - I really like this disc... has some new songs i think and a cool REM cover Harry Connick Jr. (his new disc) - very classic stuff.... great cd, it is closer to his album "We are in Love" then any of his more recent efforts Diana Krall (her new one) - pour me a coffee and let me vegg, why don't ya, this album is a great jazz cd... Ashley MacIssac: Helters Celtic: an awesome come back cd... Dido: No Angel (don't think it is 99, it might be)- This album was one of my favorites of the year, I am so glad I found this. Kendall Payne: Jordan's Sister (i think that is the title) - Another solid album, and new find for 1999, saw her live at lilith fair in camden and Hershey, she was awesome. Melissa Etheridge: Broken Down??- very solid cd, really enjoyed this one... more so than her previous cd Natalie Merchant : Live in NYC - great cd, been listening to this alot while doing webpage stuff... a friend of mine who is an avid natalie fan, says she enjoys some of her bootlegs better, but hey i like this cd none the less... Sarah Slean: Blue parade - how could I almost forget this cd.... hmmm must have blocked it out of my head since the accident.. Disappointments of the year: Sarah McLachlan: Mirrorball - it is good, but could have been better Cranberries: Bury the Hatchet - another okay cd, I was expecting more from them, but is better than their previous cd, but not as good as their first two cds Indigo Girls: (the new one) - a good cd, but not as good as i had hoped, maybe i should give this one a couple more spins and see if it grows on me, but i would rather listen to my other IG cds CDs of the century, decade etc etc.. other stuff i like... Well of course Public and Original Leap Year.... hmmm i am gonna list here some cds i really like, that probably doesn't follow the mainstream, cause i could easily start talking about artists such as Sarah McLachlan, The Cranberries, Barenaked Ladies.. etc etc etc... that are some of my favorites, that are fairly well known.... her are a list of lesser known discs.. Propellerheads - awesome stuff on this cd, if you like that electronic/drum and bass type deals Lightning Seeds - a band from the UK... as a friend once told me, the STRAIGHT version of the Pet Shop boys Wild Strawberries - okay i guess they are semi known among this group, but i love these guys and had to mention them somewhere... Can we say JAMES TAYLOR - that reference was for Trish...... Hmm i wish i was at home and this would be easier... Hmm in the dance / pop diva section Madonna Whitney Houston Cher Deborah Cox ( awesome canadian chick) hmmm looks like a good short list of any well rounded homosexual On the Jazzier side of things Harry Connick Jr Diana Krall Ella Fitzgerald Billie Holiday Hole Cole ( is she jazz or pop... kinda varies) In the Lilith type section Sarah McLachlan Emm Gryner Sarah Slean Wild Starwberries Tara Maclean The Corrs Chantal Kreviazuk Indigo Girls oh this list can go on and on here.. and to think two years ago in 1997 i hardly knew any of this stuff or this kinda music. Electronic type... dance type... get me grooving type Propellerheads Chemical Brothers Underworld Vengaboys Delerium Enigma Brit pop Radiohead Blur Lightning seeds Pet shop boys Alternative / rock Nirvana Green Day The Cranberries garbage REM Stone Temple Pilots Other james taylor Phil Collins abba the sundays ( what ever happened to them) Musicals Rent Les Miserable Miss Siagon Stuff I will admit to liking dispite the fact that it is bubble gum pop and trendy NKOTB backstreet boys Brittney Spears Aqua Vengaboys Blah i don't wanna type anymore... i just wanted to send something to the list.... to share.. hmmm i guess i failed... cause i didn't write a top 10 list.. LOL too hard to limit myself. (hmm this was a useless email) Cheers Rannie ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 10 Dec 1999 15:02:47 EST From: Songbird22@aol.com Subject: summerlong guitar chords/tabs? You can get a better idea if you go to http://www.mapquest.com and search for Sarnia, ON, Canada.
