THAT would suck! any ideas? umm...as much as i really wish i could buy tickets for everyone before hand, i can't. i don't even have that much money :-( so i guess my best advice is to get to london as early as possible and maybe even go straight to the venue to buy your tickets... This is what John emailed me about the EMMbassy... "The EMMbassy (cute) is at 732 Dundas Street, east of Adelaide St. and a little east of the former "S" or "wiggle" in the road that they've recently removed from Dundas St. The Embassy is on the north side of the street near the Palace Theatre. Prepare to be a little underwhelmed by the venue; then again, I tend to say that about most clubs." (there's only one "m" in the name, just in case you have to look it up) The telephone number is (519)434-6604 ~andy np: "blame in on the black star, blame it on the fallen sky, blame it on the satellite" ------------------------------ Date: 5 Nov 99 13:07:34 EST From: JODEL JIMENEZ Subject: OAC[sarah slean] (OAC) Sarah Slean well more on this Sarah Slean tip… we saw her yesterday at HMV, but missed the Rivoli show. She's got the talent of making a venue like a record store work for her. I only just picked up the CD last night, but the songs are beautiful, haunting, and fun all at the same time. They've got that Tara MacLean-quality of originality, as I am sick of the verse-chorus-verse shit right now. Well for those of you that know me for being dumb and shallow, I'd like to cement that by making the following observation: Female Canadian Singers are So Pretty. Almost all of them! I realized it on Monday watching Tara MacLean. Then last night, Sarah Slean just suddenly appealed to me. At the last second, I ask Rannie to snap our picture! I was smitten!! Even my gay friend complimented on her.. anatomy! I think it all started when Sarah McLachlan cut her hair.. then Emm came along, all fresh-faced and smiley and half-filipino.. even chantal's video, 'before you' got a spin on mtv.. the network usually reserved for camera-friendly vocalists or bands with bimbos in their videos. And I think it's all cool. kate connnors wrote: > hey guys. so i finally got blue parade and i'm completely addicted to it. i > was in toronto during the weekend so i grabbed a couple extra copies of.. i > think it's called 'indie nation' and it has an article on Sarah so if any > of you out there want it, let me know and i can send ya one. that's it. bye~ > *moLLy ____________________________________________________________________ Get your own FREE, personal Netscape WebMail account today at http://webmail.netscape.com. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 5 Nov 1999 16:31:31 -0500 (EST) From: James McGarry Subject: Re: OAC[sarah slean] On 5 Nov 1999, JODEL JIMENEZ wrote: > Female Canadian Singers are So Pretty. It works in some, but.... ;) Jessica, whose boyfriend is making her watch "Spinal Tap" in a few minutes...hmm www.aquezada.com/jess ------------------------------ End of headline-girl-digest V2 #263 ***********************************
