I received an automatic order confirmation the same day but, sad to say, have heard nothing and received nothing since then. On September 17th I sent an email to the deaddaisyrecords@yahoo.com address (as suggested for queries by CCNow in the order confirmation) asking what the status with the order was, but have received no reply. On September 22nd I emailed Steve (kamesan@bigfoot.com) asking him if he could shed any light on my problem, and haven't had a reply. I see that Steve's had a hard disk crash, so that probably accounts for not having heard from him. I'm not trying to make waves here - just appealing for help on the list, as I'm sure there are people out there reading this who can assist in moving things forward. It's very disappointing that, in addition to having still not received the CD, no-one will tell me what's going on. Sadly, it isn't very good customer service. So, can anyone tell me who it is that picks up the deaddaisyrecords@yahoo.com emails? Does anyone know of any problems which might be causing a delay in shipping out Science Fair CDs? Can anyone suggest any other avenues I can try to establish what's happening with my order? This is becoming somewhat frustrating! Sorry to post such a negative email. I can look into the problem tomorrow (Monday) and if I haven't figured it out by Tuesday, I'll wrap one up and send it to you myself! As you know, CCNow is a new thing for us and we haven't had too many overseas orders yet, so I guess we're still getting the bugs out of the system. I'd like to assure you (and everyone else) that we DO care about customer service and we hope that this won't happen again. It's so great to have so many friends boosting Emm's career and we're grateful for constructive criticism. Thanks again for pointing out this problem and you can be sure we'll work on a solution for the future. I'm sorry that you've had to go through this frustration, but maybe you can get some satisfaction from knowing that you've helped to make the system better! David Bowie is scheduled to appear on David Letterman on Monday October 4th....so, does that mean Emm will be there singing backup? If so, anyone wanna wait in line for stand-by tickets? or you can always stand outside at the side of the studio and wave to her and David as they walk in the side door (everyone gets in the building that way) Mark ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 26 Sep 1999 12:51:26 PDT From: "Mark Urban" Subject: yay....another bowie tv appearance in October... I've heard that you have to wait in line over-night to get stand-by tickets...and it would be even harder to get them this weekend since it's the season premiere with 2 great big celebrity personages...... ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 26 Sep 1999 16:53:59 -0400 From: James Littek Subject: Emm's Forest show Well folks, I just got back from the show in Forest. hmmm 2.5 hours of drive time each way to see a set of about 30-45 mins. Is it really worth it? YES! :) I guess the scheduled time was 2PM, well, I got there about 1:05 and Emm was already performing. :( I think she might have just started though. Other than that little surprise, Emm was fantastic. She keeps getting better everytime I see her. She didn't have any of her bandmembers with her this time. If I remember correctly, she played Southern Dreamer, Disco Lights, Hook Machine, Acid, Wisdom Bus, Revenge and some others that I don't remember. Did any other Emmbassadors make it in time? What were your impressions? I was sitting on the benches out in the Sun stage right, with a black, red, white and blue Bayern Muenchen football hat. I was a little annoyed that she was rescheduled to 1 p.m. instead of the advertised 2 p.m., so even if I had been on time I would have missed her. Since I didn't actually get there until about 2:30 she was long gone. :-( Nevertheless, it was a nice drive from London (where I was all weekend) so I'm not too bitter (and besides, us folks in this area always get to see Emm so what am I bitching about :) ) The leaves are beginning to change colour and it was really quite gorgeous driving on the 402 (listening to Public, no less :) ) - - Julian [ Julian C. Lisa Marr is a darn good songwriter, if more than a bit goofy. I kept replaying my two favourites and singing along. So I was in a fabulous mood when I got there, about 3 minutes before Emm went on. Normally, _I'm_ the one who's late... Guile (from the Emmbassy) was also there. I don't think he's on the list. Nice guy. Love his choice of hats! > was really quite gorgeous driving on the 402 (listening to Public, no less :) ) Did you find the road pulled funny in sections? I saw this car go zoom zoom across the road and I was thinking what's up with that, when it happened to me at the same spot! Weird! Forest is a nice little town, now I understand why Emm is so cheery all the time :-) La Set List (1) Phonecall 45 (2) Southern Dreamer (3) Acid (4) Disco Lights (- sorry Julian) (5) Hook Machine (6) Summerlong (7) Wisdom Bus (8) Revenge So, anybody... ...Bowie cover requests?
