I just noticed that the CN Tower show tickets are being sold through Ticketmaster. And all this time I thought it was a free thing, I guess is like a 'real' show :-) Edge 102 is presenting it, so perhaps we'll start hearing some Science Fair on the station? I'm guessing that if there were ever to be a first single, it'd be "Stereochrome" right? Anyway, show starts at 7 pm and tickets are about $12...so who's coming? What a phenomenal album. i got my copy in the mail today! it is awesome folks! for all of you that have previously posted, you already know what i am talking about, but for those of you who don't have it yet, GET IT. Emm has really outdone herself this time! What a beautiful album. the girl has talent; i can't believe ANY record label could pass on her. when she sings "its a good day for wishing you were mine, and i wish it all the time" on Serenade, i absolutely get chills... from that opening song to the final line of the album when she sings "you've got courage and i'm full of this juvenile fear; i'll love you from over here and This is closure", this album is absolutely perfect. so far my faves are Serenade, Stereochrome, Revenge, Good Riddance, and Star Deep, but i LOVE them all. there is not one bad song on this album. i can only PRAY that the powers that be bring Emm back around for a living room tour in my area. you missed me by a 90 minute drive, Emm!!! you have a living room in Akron, Ohio waiting for you anytime you're in the area!!! your sort of "southern (of the canadian border) dreamer", Rob ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 29 Jul 1999 21:36:25 EDT From: "Priya = Me" Subject: shameless advertisement hah. can everyone please go to my page and sign my guestbook? please? its all emm related. in ways. woo. byiee-e Priya http://www.emote.org/hookmachine ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 29 Jul 1999 22:08:36 -0400 (EDT) From: James McGarry Subject: Re: Emm at the Tower... I'm guessing that if there were CFNY was somewhat Emm friendly in the past, they played as much of _Public_ as they could get away with. Likely the same will happen with SF. Brother Bill is a big Emm fan and supporter. She does better on the Mix 99.9, they've always supported her... Finally, some way to say what I have been trying to say! There is not one bad song on the album! Usually, there is a song which just gets on my nerves, and I just can't listen to it over and over and over (with Emm, its This Mad, and Hello Aquarius. For some reason, sometimes I jsut need to forward through those songs. Other times, like today, I like them). But on Science Fair, I love all the songs, ok "You do something to me" can get a little irritating right after "Boy Races", but I still love it. Every song has given me chills at one point or another. Today tho, I think my favorites are "Boy Races"- i just realized how good that is, "Stereochrome" i just love, and...all the rest are tied for a tight tight tight 3rd. Currently I'm listenign to OLY cuz I really don't wanna wear out SF too quickly, and I was hankering for some early Emm to counteract the new. Ok, I just love her stuff. Wow. Are they having the concert at the base of the tower, or up top? And if up top, _where_ are they going to have it? I presume that it won't be a seated show but instead a club-type arrangement, right?
