And please, oh, please tell me its with Laurie Brown... ...no one else would do... ok, maybe Jana Lynn White... :-) James. P.S. Pssst. I think she'd've had more fun with Daniel Richler on Big Life. I have the *coolest* video idea for this--I got it when I listened to the OLY version over and over in Vancouver and riding the transit system and observing people, etc. I thought about doing a storyboard/ treatment to submit to someone, but I'm just a no-name photography student stuck in Indiana. Anyway, I think it's a great choice for a single and a very visual song (to me anyway, but that's how my brain works). WB is probably my favorite song on _Public_ and I think it's a great choice for a single, jessica n. weiser http://adam.nettfriends.com/Jess "i wish i never saw the sunshine, cause if i never saw the sunshine, then maybe i wouldn't mind the rain...this pain" -beth orton ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 29 Sep 1998 18:24:48 -0400 (EDT) From: James McGarry Subject: Re: EC: Emm's next single On Tue, 29 Sep 1998 Jess wrote: > AHH! I'm usually thinking of a certain bus when I hear this song. It was involved in some, er, koolaid testing, which if there's anyone under 21 on the list, I don't recommend trying this at home, these were trained Beatniks, fully and wholy committed to a life of Pranksterism. Ok, no one will get the reference... ...I feel old... the bus from Tom Wolfe's Electric Koolaid Acid Test. I doubt that Emm is "On the Bus" in that sense. But, hey, that's what I see when this song is playing; what I've come to believe its about, even if it isn't. > treatment to submit to someone, but I'm just a no-name photography > student stuck in Indiana. Anyway, I think it's a great choice for :-P Everyone is stuck somewhere. Ya need an agent :-) > WB is probably my favorite song on _Public_ and I think it's a great > choice for a single, I think one of the good parts of "mushing" OLY into _Public_ is that its hard to pick a not-good choice for a single. Mercury could literally play wheel of singles. Summerlong (actually _my_ favourite for almost a year now) was a very good choice above the others for an intro single, only because it was highly thematic at summer's end.
