So I guess no introduction is necessary. :) To the rest of you, my name's Suzanne, I'm fairly active on FTE, For Her Children, and the jinglejangle list, and I lurk on many other lists. Anyway, I realize it isn't the greatest netiquette to just post away 10 minutes after s*bscribing, but I have a question that's been bothering me for weeks. I love the song "Acid" so much, but there are a few lines in it I don't understand: Now I think I might get myself all 1967 on you Run screaming to the balcony But I can't do that can't do I gotta keep my good composure Does anyone know what she's referring to by specifying 1967? The closest I can come to an interpretation is that it's a reference to Zefferelli's "Romeo and Juliet," which was released around then, I think. But the balcony scene in that film doesn't necessarily mirror the "Acid" situation, to say the least... Any thoughts would be appreciated. Well, IMOHO, that could necessarily either represent a situation that really doesn't have anything to do with the "Acid" situation, or it could be a really abstract idea, or, it could just be sometihgn that sounds cool. In my writing experience (that isn't really much) those three choices are usually what i write with. Truthfully, I have no idea what it means, you'll have to ask Emm. :) emily :) ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 09 Sep 1998 19:24:12 PDT From: "Tab Siddiqui" Subject: Re: 'Hello Aquarius' vid Okay, so this is *really* old, but I was going through my inbox, and came across it, so thought I'd answer... That clip is of a video Emm made for "Hello Aquarius" maybe about two years back, around the time "TOLY" came out. They never played it on Much, as far as I know, but they *did* play clips of it on CityTV"s 'The New Music' when they did a segment on her last year. I recall that she had a release at the Rivoli for a video for "Your Sort of Human Being", but I never went, and never saw the vid, either, unfortunately. Anyone else lucky enough to see that?
