She might not be as bad as you think ... really! I saw her on Regis a couple of months ago and she was OK, very pop but likeable. Tall, too. One time I was prepared to pay full price just to see/hear the opening act - Big Country on their first US tour opening for Hall & Oates. Now, H&O could have been very good, though at the time I was not at all interested, but I was quite taken with Big Country and really wanted to hear their extraordinary sound live. However, Hall or Oates got sick so they cancelled the show. Arrggh! By the time Big Country came to town again it was more than ten years later and they wre playing at a night club rather than an arena (in fact it was in Toad's Place, scene of the most bizarre Paula Cole I've experienced - whew, got that PC content in there after all), and they had clearly gone through some changes, not quite as adventurous as before.
