Just Jay with two drumsticks, a kick pedal and some sort of >mini-maracas tied around his left ankle, sitting on a big yellow box This sounds like a Cuban instrument called a cajon. It's made of wood, and has wires stretched inside it to simulate a snare sound when struck on that face, and when struck on another side it produces a lower sound closer to a tom-tom. I once saw one being used by Jenifer Jackson's percussionist, who also sat on it. Apparently it's used a lot by street musicians in Cuba. Unless of course it was a cardboard box, in which case it's called a carton ;-) JourneyBear _________________________________________________________________ The new MSN 8: smart spam protection and 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail - ------------------------------ To unsubscribe, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe harbinger Btw, if you are an AOL subscriber the above instruction will work for your EVERY time. Jay has worked with Ms. Jackson (Jen-Jen, if you're nasty) on many occasions so he would have had ample opportunity to diddle with her other perc's cajon.
