My bad. Although I recall hearing about this from both of them, what I heard may not have been what they said. I've met them only a few times, and may be a bit reticent still. I find that they both tend to talk obliquely, don't venture much information but will answer when asked. Perhaps I didn't phrase my questions just right, or perhaps I got the time frame wrong or otherwise pieced together the information wrong. I thought they developed their kits independently but with some knowledge of what the other was doing. Are you saying they didn't know each other in high school? How did they ever meet, then? This is all so strange, and yet wonderful. Anyway, thanks for straightening me out on that. Sorry to have supplied incorrect information to the web, one of my more recent pet peeves. And thanks for the info on Jay's whereabouts and doings. So, not only is he going with one of Madonna's backup singer/dancers, he is working with Joe Henry, who is married to Madonna's sister. Wonder what (if anything) it means. Joe is pretty good, caught part of his set opening for Beth Orton once. Can you imagine the backyard jams these guys could get into?
