I was wondering when we would get on the subject of the new video! This past weekend we got to spend quite a bit of time talking w/Paula and of the video she says that her being naked isn't about being sexy but being honest. It was shot in the Bronx and she is very proud of it! Other good news is that after this leg of the tour is over they are headed back to the studio to record the new ablum and then back out on the road to tour! She was even practicing some of the new material during soundcheck in Ft. Wayne speaking of the recent shows...the band was incredible as always! Ft. Wayne the setlist was: Happy Home, Amen, Throwing Stones, Pearl, Mississippi, IBIL, Tiger, Cowboys, Me, God is Watching, Feelin Love, Black Dog, and IDWTW. - -during this show she joked about no hit single being on the radio so fuck em all! She looked divine in a long jean skirt that had slits on both sides all the way up, red shirt, and platforms...the outfit alone was worth all the driving we did ;) next was Muskegon, the setlist was: HH, Stones, Pearl, Mississippi, IBIL, Cowboys, Me, God, Black Dog, IDWTW. - -this was an outdoor festival w/rides,games,fair food...the line up was Jill, Paula, and Michael McDonald!(Paula was quite thrilled to see him!) and last but not least was Bloomington, setlist: HH, Amen, Stones, Pearl, Mississippi, IBIL, Tiger, Cowboys, Me, God, Carmen, Feelin Love, Black Dog, Hitlers Brothers, IDWTW. - -this was one of the BEST shows we have seen so far, the audience was so great and full of energy and the band was eating every moment up! She kept saying what great vibes she was getting and that she was for sure coming back to Bloomington. Her voice was exceptional and she belted out every song w/such emotion. And hearing Hitler again after awhile was a treat. Be Somebody was on all 3 of the setlists w/ question marks after it and they didn't play it at all. And you'll notice no Jolene.... During IDWTW she has started the audience participation thing saying "you know the words let me hear you sing". Hassan was along with her for all 3 shows, they make a wonderful couple! He was so kind to us, and is very interesting to talk to. He is on his way to play in the Middle East this week. One last word is that Jill Sobule turned out to be a great opening act! She's VERY funny, I hope everyone enjoys her too. That's all for now...I'll post chapter 2 next week after Reno! Bombard VH1 and MTV. Everyone get the Email address and phone no's of stations in your area likely to play Paula's music. we all decide on a particular song for the month and send nonstop emails (I have 7 different email addresses) (and hotmail, yahoo etc are easy to get as many as you want) I have access to free long distance, so I could call some of the other places. It might not do anything but who knows? So how many people do we have on Harbinger? and what about an alliance with other mailing lists? Isn't there a Donna Delory list? Might make a difference. Stranger things have happened. What do you all think? Marc Marc of the Hammer Artistic Blacksmithing from now and then.
