["Steve Bornstein" Subject: Re: (harbinger) "charmed" w/paula... Hi Gang De-lurking here . . . MiGosh I've been BUSY!!! I like Charmed, even though I know it's a guilty pleasure - pat, predictable stories, more surface than depth - I am utterly charmed. I like the characters, the premise, the special effects, and the choice of locales and music. If Paula and/or mgmt wish to increase her visibility, they really should use any means they won't regret, and there are worse show. This one appeals to her demographic, I do believe. "Amen" is having an incredibly low impact on the general public, much much less than it (and she) deserves. So reminding people that this singular talent is alive, well, and active is a GOOD thing. But I'm not sure - is this a real appearance or are they just using a song? I believe The Cranberries did a guest appearance on this show once, FWIW (not much). But until they bring back "Sports Night" and start having musical guests on it, chances like this will have to do. And BTW, Paula is not happy with the way the general public (TGP?) have seized onto IDWTW, generally ignoring the rest of her work. Even though the money and recognition it brought her has enabled many other good thing in her life, she hates being pigeon-holed. Loses sleep over it, in fact. That and a few other surprises are available in an interview I was honored to have conducted with Ms Herself, in the current issue of Mixx Magazine. I seriously doubt it is online yet (try it at http://www.intermixx.com but . . .) as it is just being printed today. This also includes my list of The Best Artists and Albums of the 90s, which features a bunch of people you know, as well as a bunch you really ought to! It will be around Boston and MA at Newbury Comics by early next week, throughout CT by this weekend, and eventually at The Living Room, Arlene Grocery, Mercury Lounge in NYC. Please don't bombard me with requests for mailed copies, as I have a hard time saying "No!" and invariably comply ;-) It really should be online in full color in a week or so. OK, going back to lurking. But setting my VCR first! Journey Bear >My mom called me Thursday night and told me that she saw >previews for the Charmed episode w/Paula and gang!!! She said it will be on >this >upcoming Thursday 5/11 so check your local listings to be sure! > > ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com - ------------------------------ To unsubscribe, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe harbinger Btw, if you are an AOL subscriber the above instruction will work for your EVERY time.
