So far, not so good. Topped out at 97 slipped to 114 and now sits at 136. That's after four weeks on the charts. Sure hope the upcoming promotional touring gives the album a boost. Peace. (I don't know a better title) I had to post it cause I feel like such a winner. I have to share with someone how I feel cause I don't know if any one can understand except for a fan of Paula. Last week my brother in law and I were at the mall and I asked the manager of Disc Jockey if there was anyway in this lifetime I could get the flag on the wall of the cover of 'Amen'. She told me they were taking donations for the foodbank and that they were doing it as a auction the higher the bid the better my chances. The bid was holdin at $20 and she said if I could bring her $21 the next day I would walk away with my flag. I was so happy and promised her I would return with the cash donation. Heck the money was for a good cause and well I was more than willing to do what it took to get the flag. We won't day how far I would go.... Anyways, I went in on Friday about 5:30 pm and made a $21 donation for the local food bank and walked away with the most beautiful thing I own. I felt so like a kid in a candystore whose mom just bought her the largest sweet candy ever. Such a spiritual thing for me to walk away in my black boots, Paula Cole custom airbrushed T-shirt, and with my beautiful "Amen" flag in my hands. Just had to share... Zia PS: How much is this flag worth to anyone else out there? Not that I am ever planning to sell it but I wonder... My plans are to have the flag framed in a pine case hung by wooden rods and to have a copy of the CD inside the case in a small pocket. I don't know if that only pertains to that store or the Virgin records chain. At least it sounds better than billboard . Aloha, Dennis p.s.- if you don't mind, I'd like to make a little plug here. I'm a singer/songwriter who will be playing at The Crooked Bar in Hollywood every Sunday at 8 pm starting November 21. If you like Paula's folkier stuff you might like mine.
