well, everyone, congratulate me, after searching for "jolene" for about as 
long as i've been on this list--which has been quite awhile--i was finally 
given a chance to hear it today.  no, i didn't find it on cd or anything,  
after all this time, today i was channel surfing and landed on ESPN2.  the 
reason that is stopped is because they had on some dance competition or 
something, and there were a bunch of girls dancing rather awkwardly, so i 
stopped to laugh (no offense to any dancers out there or anything...just 
covering myself in case that WAS offensive, you never know) and as i'm 
watching these girls dance, i'm hearing in the background paula's famous 
human beat-box.  well, after a few moments, she starts wailing "jolene" and 
so i figure it out, then i curse out the tv because these girls not only HAVE 
the song, obviously, but are using it to taunt me with it--yes, i realize 
that was really not the case, but i've been quite frustrated trying to get 
ahold of this song, and here i stumble across it in an unusual way and i 
don't even have a tape in the vcr (not that i'd really want the dancing 
girls, but still...)

well, that was my paula experience for today..

and for anyone that is not yet laughing at me, or who has not yet deleted my 
pathetic rambling message, i not only congratulate you, but i'd like to pose 
a question to those of you who saw paula on conan o'brien.  now, i'm not in 
any way trying to start a porno debate or something, but i just happened to 
notice that, since i've been a fan, i've never really noticed her to be 
a...busty woman (povie, i'm sure, will have a comment or two at this point) 
in fact, i'd go as far to categorize her in the, well, rather flat-chested 
group, but on conan, it seemed that all of a sudden she's ready to fall out 
of her blouse.  am i the only one here that noticed that?  i taped it, and i 
had taped the letterman appearance, and re-watched both, and it's like, ok, 
letterman, typical paula, conan...wow!   i'm just wondering...don't shoot me
