I don't know, but don't be surprised if you don't see it for a while. They're going to want to sell as many copies of the album as possible. They lose money when they release singles to early. I think that might especially be true for Amen. >> also, when is IBIL video going to be on vh1/mtv? anyone know? It's in rotation on VH1 now. Last night ended up being strange. Really fun, but strange nevertheless. I didn't get home until 4 a.m. yesterday from the excellent Bowery Ballroom show and some equally cool post-concert festivities. So, maybe it wouldn't have seemed as weird if I wasn't so tired then (and now), but when I walked in the door and collapsed on the sofa, some half-delirious internal voice told me to turn on VH1. No sooner was the TV on than the video started. No time to even grab a tape. Just Paula shakin' her groove thang and me glued to the TV. The video is pretty cool and, based on what I saw, the idea seems to be for the single to be most heavily marketed to the Dawson's Creek/Gap Ad crowd. A lot of the video is focused on a bunch of kids (sorry... young adults) dancing on a dance floor while Paula is performing on a stage nearby. Reminded me of the Kahlua ads (y'know... Make a drink? Or make a move?). Paula is singing and dancing around. First, the club seems to be a karaoke club with Japanese men sitting at tables eating sushi and karaoke teleprompters giving the lyrics to the song. Next, the same club is now something like an opium den with burning incense and some guy is breakdancing (if that's what it's still called... oh, God, I really am out of touch with all that crap) in the middle of the floor while a bunch of other kid youngins sit around bliss out and enjoying Paula good vibrations. Next segment is in the same club again, but now it's more of an East Village club with the same grungers dancing around, kinda pawing each other. Paula's still singing the whole time. And, finally, the scene switches to the club as a Saturday Night Fever danceteria replete with lighted John Travolta dance floor. The dancers are now in the throes of something like the Hustle or the Electric Slide or some such simple line dance. Within moments, Paula is right out there with them, dancing in time with the best of them. So, the choreographed dance number wasn't exactly Janet Jackson's "If." I was rather looking forward to that, too. :( Check out Insomniac Theatre on VH1 around 3:30-4:30 a.m. if you really want to check it out. Otherwise, I heard it was playing on the monitors behind PC and the band today on Rosie. Haven't seen the show yet (taped it), so I can't say for sure. I'll review the show in a couple of days. I'm tired as hell today and won't have time tomorrow. :) Peace. I just thought I'd share in case there are some fans in NY who weren't able to get tickets for the taping. If anyone goes tomorrow evening (I'm sure Kenn will be there), please write a review if you could. I think I'm one of the unfotunate many that has to wait until next Spring to see her. - -Brian ===== __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
