However, after Kenn's review of the upcoming PC album and after downloading the various sound files that are available, I thought I'd throw in another 2 cents worth. It would appear that some of the professional reviewer's agree with Kenn, at least in part. Here's a review I pulled out of yesterday's London edition of the Daily Mail and remember, I only typed it up here; "Like fellow North American women Tori Amos and Alanis Morissette, Paula Cole views songwriting as a form of personal therapy. Amen, Cole's third album, finds the New Englander amplifying her introspective, spiritual lyrics with lush strings (on I Believe In Love) and ornate, jazzy textures (on Rhythm Of Life). The singer had an unlikely hit in 1997 with Where Have All The Cowboys Gone. But despite her strong, flighty voice and ambitious intentions, there is nothing as memorable amid the histrionics here." And the reviewer gives the album 2 stars out of 5. If the album is released here, then I will be going out to buy it. Failing that, I'll be picking up a copy when I visit LA at the end of the year. Be well, all. Me :-) (IDWTW) =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine. Reality is a crutch for the unimaginative.
