For those of you who are concerned about Paula's turn to disco, go to the Amazon.com site for Amen. Four or Five of the tracks from the new album have samples posted there. Most of the songs sound like they would have fit on "harbinger" to me. Is she a sell-out? When was the last time you heard Barry White style strings and "Shaft" style wah-wah on the radio, besides the oldies station (yes, my friends the disco era began fading away nearly 20 years ago). BTW- I like the song, strings and all. Mainly because Paula has the courage to do what she wants to do no matter what we think about it, her voice is fantastic, and it's a love song with a bit of depth, which I think is lacking on Hit Radio World. How can she be a sell-out when she is creating a new genre of music for the 90s? The song is a new sound, not only for Paula but for radio stations. - -- Mark - ------------------------------ To unsubscribe, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe harbinger Btw, if you are an AOL subscriber the above instruction will work for your EVERY time.
