Hello! Jimmy Mac and Zia MiChelle gave me some food for thought. I think we have to remember that her songs aren't always autobiographical, a problem that I have a lot. I don't know if she was so much shunning religion on tracks like "Road to Dead" as she was a)lamenting that she couldn't be more faithful or b) comparing herself to a religious figure in that everybody looked to her for something and crucified her over it when she couldn't provide it. That's how I see it, anyway. We won't know what sort of religious overtones there will be on Amen until we hear it. She could quite possibly use "Amen" more figuratively or even sarcastically. I don't know. It's fun to speculate but I'm not sure. Paula does seem to be a quite spiritual person, even if she's not religious. Remember her singing on "A Prayer for the Soul of Layla?" I'm just speculating and rambling here, nothing much. ;) I do have to comment on something Zia MiChelle said, just b/c this typo amused me. >might be talk of Paula having a family and as we all know she is not >getting any older. Really? What's her secret? ;) I'm just teasing you here; I thought that was cute.
