Hey Harbingers, long time me no speak. Well, I'm as excited as the next PC enthusiast to hear the upcoming album, reportedly entitled _Amen_, but I must admit I'm confused by the title. Perhaps her growing exposure to the worlds of black and gospel music has brought about a change? With the statement she made on _This Fire_ with "Road To Dead," I was expecting this kind of a follow-up about as much as I'd expect Marilyn Manson to perform a cover of "Amazing Grace"! Maybe it's tongue-in-cheek (the title)? Then again, she was asking for prayers in "I Don't Want To Wait," so maybe there's some faith in there someplace. Either way, this summer concert scene is sorely lacking her amazing presence........we miss you, Ms. Cole!!! Hey Harbingers just a post from my world... Jimmy, it is great to see your post...(expect a long email from me soon). As Jimmy Mac posted the new album title does make one wonder if indeed Paula has found a higher power. Seems like a great deal of artists have jumped for enlightenment and found it recently. Look at Madonna and her relationship with the Kabbalah. I know there are more who have done this for the fans of Leah Andreone who are on the Funhouse List I think this was even talked about on her latest release 'Alchemy'. Even Cher seems to have found a certain holy power in her lastest CD. Perhaps it is Paula's relationship that has inspired her. The African-American community is very spiritual one and Paula's relationship with her long term significant other could be coming to a point where spirtuality is becoming a strong factor. I had heard rumor also that there might be talk of Paula having a family and as we all know she is not getting any older. Maybe the latest CD is a way of giving thanks to whoever she turns to in time of need. I am a pagan so I can't speak for Paula in who her higher power might be. I do know that many questioned Paula's spiritual beliefs when _This Fire_ was released because it seemed to have paganistic overtures. Truly know one person can comment on why Paula has chosen the title for her newest CD to be _Amen_ by for whatever reason I am thankful to hear a new CD will be here soon. It has been a long wait for those who truly love Paula's work. I have to agree though that the summer concert series is surely not as enjoyable as it is when Paula is on the tour circuit...Louisiana needs a dose of Paula soon... As for Marilyn Manson doing a cover of "Amazing Grace"...I think it would be to say the least interesting to hear...as long as the wonderful John Lowery was kicking out the guitar on it...(John5 for all who listen to Manson and one of the great people who plays with the ever-perfect Leah Andreone). My wife, daughter and I have decided to attend Lilith at the Gorge in Washington -- in fact, we are going to both shows (Friday and Saturday) and will be camping there for a three day weekend. Is anyone from the list going to Gorge? If so, let's hookup! There are eight of us all told, me being the sole guy. The seven women have taken to calling our troop "Buddah and the Babes" ...I guess I should lay off the cheetohs a bit, eh?
