The No-Trenchcoat policy has been implicated for all of Jefferson County (the county of the Columbine shooting, one of the largest counties, of large population). It doesn't stop at Trench coats either. All coats, outerwear, jackets, and windbreakers have been banned from all school related functions in both Denver and Jefferson Counties. This is probably the lamest excuse to implicate fascism in the school system that I have ever seen. I don't wear trench coats, but that's not the point. The superintendent states that many weapons can be hidden in trenchcoats, long coats, and other coats for that matter. Hmmm....well...I know for certain that I can carry at least two glock-9's in my cargo pants, so will they ban those as well? How lame.....is there anyway that the system can be beaten into the ground reagarding this point? Please tell me there is a way.....You can't stereotype what someone wears as a potential and imminent danger. It's immoral.
