He showed up again at their Starbucks show yesterday afternoon, and even jammed on their second set, which stretched out to nearly full length. This is why it seems like they are on the inside track for an opening slot when Paula tours again. Jay was evasive when I asked him about the new album, only saying that the recording is going well and it would be very different. Keeping us in suspense. Meanwhile, Bliss has two more shows in the Northeast before heading back to LA - The Call in Providence tonight and Kendall Cafe in Boston Tuesday. More detailed info follows. I hope some of you check them out - - they have a lot going for them even without Jay's input - but you never know if he might show up. Turns out that Quinn, their current drummer, grew up with Jay in Maine, and they use similar approaches in technique and equipment, particularly using a djimbe instead of a snare drum and brushes instead of sticks. Small world. It was really cool to see them jamming, as they had an unspoken rapport that comes from playing together over the years, so they interrelated without crowding each other. An extra special surprise treat. That's why you've got to see people like this live - you never know till you go. Peace JourneyBear Monday, March 29th at "The Call" in Providence, RI. I would prefer originals, but will take copies, either CD or cassette. Most of the newer albums I'm not too worried about, but I'm especially looking for the older albums, and the unpopular ones that I can't find around my area. (I live right between country-music-lovin'-barn-raisin'-hickville, and Amish Country....not many people that listen to Metallica and Soul Asylum 'round here, :P.) I do have some things to trade, but most of them aren't very good (Christmas albums and the like) and a few have broken cases. Oh, one more thing before I get to the wish list. If there are any bowlers on this list planning to participate in the Dutchman Bolony Bowling Tournament at the Palmyra Bowling Center in Palmyra, PA, anytime this year, please contact me!! I'm one of the people that kinda run that tournament, and if anyone is planning to bowl in it I would be very interested to know! I think it's about time to meet a few listees, heh, :). And now, with no further ado, here we go: Lauryn Hill -- The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill Eagle Eye Cherry -- Desireless Seal -- Human Being Shawn Mullins -- Better Days Big Blue Sky Jeff's Last Dance Vol. 1 Jeff's Last Dance Vol. 2 Eggshells Soul's Core Brandy -- Never Say Never Monica -- The Boy is Mine Soul Asylum -- Say What You Will While You Were Out Made to Be Broken Hang Time Insomniac's Dream Metallica -- Kill 'Em All Ride the Lightning Master of Puppets Garage Days Re-Revisited ...And Justice for All Metallica Load Re-Load Garage, Inc. R.E.M. -- Chronic Town Murmur Reckoning Fables of the Reconstruction Life's Rich Pageant Green Monster New Adventures in Hi-Fi Aerosmith -- Aerosmith Get Your Wings Toys in the Attic Rocks Draw the Line Live Bootleg Night in the Ruts Rock in a Hard Place Done with Mirrors Permanent Vacation Box of Fire Pandora's Toys Nine Lives A Little South of Sanity U2 -- Boy October Sky Under a Blood Red Sky Wide Awake in America Zooropa dc Talk -- Supernatural Des'ree -- Supernatural Smalltown Poets -- Listen Closely Will Smith -- Big Willie Style Ok, that's it. In addition, if anyone has either of the following box sets: Live Shit!: Binge and Purge (by Metallica) or Pandora's Box (by Aerosmith) in their ORIGINAL forms and packaging and stuff, please let me know as well. Thank you!! :) _________________________________________________________ DO YOU YAHOO!?
