It's apparently a Jackson 5 song from Diana Ross Presents the Jackson 5. Here are the lyrics: Jackson 5 Diana Ross Presents The Jackson 5 You've Changed (J. Reese) Lead vocals: Michael Hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah. I remember when you was a little girl I say you never ever ever wore curls You wore nothing but an old shaggy, shaggy dress I say you never ever try to look your best. Now when I look at you All my love come a'running through. You've changed and it's showing My love for you is growing You've changed and it's showing Yeah. Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah. You legs were little But now they are big Instead of wearing a pony tail You wear a little red wig Your eyes are pretty You got some kissable lips And I love the way you walk Cuz you swing your hips! Now when I look at you All my love come a'running through You've changed and it's showing My love for you is growing You've changed and it's showing. Hoo hoo. Yeah. Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah. (Your walk) Oooh, baby, I love the way you walk. (Your talk) Oooh, oooh, the way you speak to me. (Your look) Oooh, my heart is shook. (Your eyes) Oooh, baby, hypnotize. Now when I look at you All my love come a'running through You've changed and it's showing My love for you is growing You've changed and it's showing. ...etc to FADE - ----- Hope that helps some people out! I saw those lyrics on the international lyric search engine, too. ;^) The Jackson 5 song is titled "You've Changed," but it's not the same song that Paula sang for Stormy Weather '98. In addition to having different lyrics, the one by the Jacksons has a definite Motown sound, while Paula's "You've Changed" is a jazz standard that was written by Bill Carey and Carl Fischer. The song has been performed by many well-known jazz artists, such as Billie Holiday, Nancy Wilson, Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald and, most notably in this instance, Chet Baker. Paula has often cited Chet Baker as being one of her greatest musical influences. I had intended to include these lyrics with my message yesterday, but I just ran out of time before having to leave the office last night. So, here they are (sorry for the delay....): _You've Changed_ I've an awful feelling That this thought that's been a stealin' through my brain Is not to be ignored But to really tell the truth Though I'm not a well-known sleuth I honestly believe that you are bored You've changed That sparkle in your eyes is gone Your smile is just a careless yawn You're breaking my heart You've changed You've changed Your kisses now are so blasé You're bored with me in every way I can't understand You've changed You've forgotten the words, "I love you" Each memory that we've shared You ignore every star above you I can't realize you've ever cared You've changed You're not the angel I once knew No need to tell me that we're through It's all over now You've changed So there you go. Hope this helps you out! :^) Peace. Here is the International Lyric Search website: http://www.lyrics.ch/ I also have found this site (Music Database) to be very useful, as well, in certain instances: http://music.netsysinc.com/ There used to be a really great lyric search engine on the net (other than these two sites I've mentioned), but it appears that it has been dissolved. I can't find it anywhere. > good to know this list is still alive. i've been feeling bad about not having > to sort through porn lately to get to the paula stuff, i'd just delete > everything. no challenge in that, now is there? :-) Oh, I don't know... I *do* get sick of finding email messages in my mailbox trying to entice me to see "Barely Legal Teenage Tramps" doing their thing on any given porn site, but I always find it very challenging to refrain from laughing out loud when I do a search for "Paula Cole" on any of the major search engines and pull up more and more porn sites each time that are dedicated to hirsute women and their admirers. They seem to have adopted poor Paula as their celebrity poster child. I wonder how Paula feels about her inclusion on those sites... that is, if she even knows that about her inclusion on them. A couple of them feature badly doctored images of Paula's head pasted on to another woman's body. They're pretty funny, really. I mean, they're just so BAD!! Paula is most definitely unshorn, but the images used in these fakes are of women who have nearly enough underarm hair to make Princess Leia coffee cake braids under each pit. :^) Peace.
