I know his family wanted to sue because they thought she used his letters in "Possession". I don't know if she was going to adjudicate his stalking or anything. I doubt she would, considering that he can't really bother her anymore. Of course, once my sister worked for the commonwealth's attorney and they almost heard a case and prosecuted it even though the stalker had died. So you never know... Sorry this is so sketchy but if you get over to the nettwork web site there's a little piece on it. well, at least there was yesterday. katie http://userwww.sfsu.edu/~stohlman ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com - ------------------------------ To unsubscribe, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe harbinger That's the way to unsub even for poor, benighted AOL users. My friend informed me that it has to do w/ a former band member (drummer I think) from Touch and he didn't receive money he felt was worth it cuz he co-wrote some songs. I second Dusti's emotion in her wish for someone who might be able to make a copy of Paula's WFUV show that was rebroadcast today. I tried recording it, but due to problems with reception (i.e., lots of workmen on the roof of my apartment building with power tools), I was only able to record portions of the show. A complete recording would be much appreciated and I will gladly work out some kind of trade arrangement with you. Thanks very much. For the record, the show didn't run for a full hour, as advertised. It was only about 30 minutes long. It opened with Paula singing "Don't Give Up" with Peter Gabriel from the Secret World Live album. Then, in between portions of the interview (which didn't really touch on anything that we haven't all heard at some point before), Paula performed live in-studio acoustic versions of "Happy Home," "I Am So Ordinary" and "Watch The Woman's Hands." She was accompanied by Jay on drums and former guitarist, Jerry Leonard. "Happy Home" was pretty much the same as the version on the Live From Mountain Stage - Vol. 8 compilation and "Ordinary" was like other versions of the song that I've heard from that time, but "WTWH" was very different from the album version or the version Paula has done during the "This Fire" tour. Very cool, stripped down acoustic version. This interview with Ben Soper took place just before Paula began opening for Sarah McLachlan during the FTE tour. She spoke briefly about that opportunity and how she got the break from members of Sarah's band who had turned Sarah on to Paula's music. Other parts of the interview were focused on Paula's early influences (she only named Aretha in this interview), touring with Peter Gabriel, how she writes certain songs and how she met other musicians who have performed with her. Hope a lot of you got to hear (or get to hear) the show. Peace.
