I echo the sentiments of Mr. Carpenter; a bit disappointing that Paula only got to perform twice, but she made the most of it. Personally, I prefer the tambourine over the drums, but it was kind of cool for a change. Also, from my orchestra vantage I could see that Paula's new bassist (name forgotten....Rich I believe) is also a background vocalist, thus the de-doo-doos. On IDWTW, they used an expanding-type reverb on her voice, I assume to fill in the sound from the lack of a piano. Seal's set was quite good, despite the fact that about 75% of the place rudely emptied out during the course of it. It will be interesting to see if you can see the mass exodus when they pan over the audience. He played much of his new album, "Human Being," enough to make me a pre-paid customer. Anyone have any upcoming northeastern dates for Paula?
