Hello everyone. Just thought of introducing myself. My name is Katie and live
in Orlando, Florida and am 18 years old. I thought of joining list after
looking through smoe's list because I'm also on the Liz Phair list (support-
system). I'm also on another Paula mailing list, but not much has been going
on lately.
	Paula is a fave of mine because she was the first female artist I saw in
concert and the concert totally rocked. I consider this one to still be a fave
of mine for some reason. First and foremost is at the time I saw Paula
(3/27/98 at the Sapphire Supper Club), she wasn't as popular with my friends
and they had no idea who she was, even though I raved about This Fire a
million times. The concert was sold out because it was in a small club and the
capacity was 250. The fact the club was small was great because the sound was
really loud and the experience of it was great. The good thing about this
concert was I convinced my mother that we hang around the club and see if we
could get a chance to meet Paula. We waited about an hour and a half after a
concert and I saw Paula about to board her bus, and what did I do? I yelled
her name and she turned to look in my direction. Without giving it a second
thought, I ran across the street to her bus (at 1:30am!) and told her that I
really enjoyed her concert. By gosh! She's beautiful and her eyes really stood
out. I asked for her autograph and while she was signing some postcard I
picked up in the club, cars were passing by and her crew people urged me to
get closer to the bus so I wouldn't get hit. I swear, if I had one more step,
I'd be on the bus! 
	This isn't the only time I've seen Paula in concert. I also saw her at the
House of Blues on May 26, 1998 and was right at the stage. I can't find any
words to describe this concert for some reason. It was really nice to see
other Paula fans there. But for some reason, I felt like I'm a true fan of
Paula because I became a fan before her popularity hit off after Lilith Fair
'97 and winning a grammy. Oh yeah, when she won her grammy, I was so happy for
her because I felt she deserved it. I screamed when I heard her name when she
won the grammy and couldn't help from crying. Another fact to say is after her
concert in 1997, I predicted that she would a grammy and I guess I have quite
a talent here!
	The most recent concert I went to of Paula was last weekend on October 4,
1998. She was opening for Matchbox 20 and of course, I didn't go to see them
and my friends frowned at me because I had floor seats for an arena concert. I
thought I had great seats because this was a first arena concert I saw Paula
doing. She was great of course and sang "Jolene." I heard that many people
like her performing this song and I hope she'll record it for her next album.
The one thing about this performance that leaves me dangling is she opened her
set with a song I've never heard before and I think it's a new one. The set
list was:

3.  Mississippi
4.  Carmen
5.  Me
6.  Where Have All the Cowboys Gone?
7.  Jolene
8.  Feelin' Love
9.  Tiger
10. I Don't Want to Wait
11. Hitler's Brothers
 	After the concert, my mom and I ran out of the arena to the back to see if
we could meet Paula again. We didn't meet Paula, but were lucky to be there
when Jay Bellerose was walking family members to their car. I asked for his
autograph and got a picture taken with him. He was really nice and we got the
chance to tell him that it was our third time seeing Paula. He was surprised
and said that he'd tell Paula I was there because I asked if there was any
chance of meeting Paula. The strangest thing about this time I was at Paula's
concert was my mother and I saw Papa John's pizza delivered to the backstage
area and when Paula's bus was leaving, we saw everyone eating the pizza.
	Sorry so long. I guess you can really tell I like Paula! I think she's a
great performer and I can't really find any words to describe why I like her
music so much. I just do!

A quick de-lurk from a sick girl....
Can someone on the list please help me out? I lost my Paula Screensaver
that I got from freeshop.com a few months ago and I was really wanting it.
I tried going back to freeshop but nothing....anyone have the install file
and willing to send it to me privately or any other Paula Cole screensavers??
