I just got back from the Lilith Fair at Shoreline a few hours ago. Let me tell you first, that everyone needs to go. It's the best show I have ever seen! Sorry this is probably going to be LONG! The only thing i'd have to say is leave REALLY early because it took about an hour to get parked and in when we were five feet away from the off ramp! So basically my friend and I didn't get to hear many of the performers on the second and village stage. What we did hear was Billie Myers (who i'm not a total fan of, ok i hate that kiss the rain song) but she is totally good live! She had this totally rockin' song and was totally kicking butt on stage. The next person (and the only other opener we saw) was Tara MacLean. She is really really good. (If anyone has info on her, want to email me?) I was totally impressed with her. It was just her, an acoustic guitar, and a guy on electric guitar. Very pretty songs. We saw Erykah Badu and she was really good. That "call tyrone" song is really cool! Then I totally missed almost the whole Indigo Girls set cause I was in the hour long food line but came back in time to see them, Sarah McLachlan and some lady (don't know who) sing the water is wide. Then some more duets type things. Then Natalie Merchant came on. She is SOOOO cool in concert! Before she did the na na na kind and generous song she talked about how the 2 shows at Shoreline are donating $40,000 to local charities and then she sang that song. It was so cool! Then Sarah came on. Her set was, by far, the coolest thing on earth. She sang all the songs i came to hear (possession, the ice cream song) and others. Her encore was Sweet Surrender and then everyone who was still there came on and did some song I'd never heard of before. All in all, it was a great show and if you want anymore insanely clear-cut details, just email me and I'd be glad to share! I was so stoked!! Catch ya later katie ~~my page http://student.monterey.edu/stohlmannkatheri/world It's not that bad...~~ - ------------------------------ To unsubscribe, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe harbinger Please note the new majordomo address To buy Paula merchandise from Paula(!) try: http://pw2.netcom.com/~ilml/pcmerch.html Digest, further unsub and problems FAQ at: http://www.netaxs.com/~jgreshes/lists/harbinger.html For This Fire kinda-lyrics write Riphug@aol.com ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 24 Jun 1998 23:38:04 EDT From: jeansapula@juno.com (Jean sapula) Subject: (harbinger) Rose Polenzani's Summer Tour and Festival Schedule Here's a schedule of a great, young singer-songwriter from Chicago, Not to be missed.
