[KissNTim] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: Tue, 23 Jun 1998 04:10:44 EDT From: Juvenilia@aol.com Subject: (harbinger) Blend-ing Together Hey everyone... I just wanted to post that the Lilith Fair '98: A Starbucks Blend is a very cool sampler of music. However, I don't think all the artists listed are even on Lilith Fair. For instance, Jen Trynin has made bold statements about not wanting to be associated with the whole 'women in rock' thing. She actually requested that she didn't want any woman opening for her during her concerts. Hor ironic that she opened for Paula when I saw them at the 9:30 Club last February. But, I do think Jen is one of the best female singer/songwriters, but then, I like a lot of music. Jonatha Brooke was another artist I was unsure about with the whole Lilith Fair connection. She used to be part of the group, The Story and her latest solo album, '10 Cent Wings' is awesome. Lilith or not, though, this album is awesome. Every song is excellent... and next to Paula, my ALL-TIME favorite singer, Liz Phair is featured on it as well. Yay for me! And to those of you wondering (or those of you who even care), my Paula Cole website, 'Like The Winter' is undergoing renovation, but will be up within the week. Talk to everyone soon...
