Seems like with work and things with Chaye I am really busier than I planned. But Paula is still my number 1 girl. :) Speaking of Paula first and foremost I sometimes feel like there is a psychic bond between me and her works. Seems like everytime I am working on her website or talking about her one of her songs comes on. Talk about kewl but also a positive re-enforcement to me that she is gonna be around for a long time to come. Then again we all know she will be. :) Secondly, I updated my website last week and I added the discography and some kewl streaming audio files that I don't know if many people have heard. A special thanks to Kenn for all his help in making the pages on my site more complete. A page entitled banners will be added soon and I hope some of you with your own pages will stop by and add a banner from your site to mine. The site I run is not really listed very many places but if geocities tickets are an accurate idea of how many people stop by my page or one of my pages I average 4000 tickets a month! Next, has "Feelin' Love" been officially released as a single? I took my son to the doctor and the we stopped by the radio studio to pick up some money I won and they were playing new songs (for us at least) and they played Creed's "My Own Prison" and just after we left they played "Feelin' Love" as a new music play. I was kinda shocked to hear them play something new by Paula but it seems like she has 3 songs in their playlist now "IDWTW", "Me" and now "Feelin' Love" and they are getting a great deal of airplay. Is this the 4th single off "This Fire" or is the radio just picking it up as a pick? And let's see whatelse can I say.... I buy music every payday it is just inevitable for me not to buy one or more CD's. And I pick up a great deal of CD singles and I was in Hasting's Entertainment the other day and I saw a CD entitled `Day 14` by Ronna that was on sale but I passed it up since I was really just looking for Jane Jensen's `Comicbook Whore` CD and `Peace` from Anything Box. Anyways I got paid Friday and I was in Wal-Mart and I saw a single of Ronna entitled "Sweet Pretender" so I decided to pick it up and I think she has a good chance. I was kinda shocked to see that her CD was produced by Peter Cetera. Not a bad guy to be working with for a fairly unknown artist I thought.... Ronna is a country to pop crossover artist and `Day 14` is her 4th CD and she has opened for many of today's top country artists. If anyone is curious or wants to just check out Ronna's background she has a website at www.ronna.net - she has a pretty interesting background in the music industry and there are some real audio clips of her music available. Here is a bit of info on Ronna --"Bold, brash and deliciously radio-friendly, the vibrant songs on Ronna's crossover debut, Day 14, announce the pure pop emancipation of a woman who has redefined her life with steely grace, both professionally and personally. Following in the renegade footsteps of other artists who have abandoned country music by virtue of their glorious incongruity--such as Roseanne Cash, Lyle Lovett, Steve Earle and k.d. Lang-- Ronna has defiantly broken ranks and created a sweet rock-pop symphony of eleven remarkable tracks that emotionally embrace the journey of a woman who arrived in Nashville at age sixteen with nothing more than a raw, amazing voice and a good dose of fiery determination. -- http://www.platinument.com/AdultContemporary/Day14.htm . Anyways this post is becoming long and I have another day of work ahead of me. If anyone has anything they would like to add to my Paula website please feel free to email them to me at paulafan@geocities.com JMMJ- Please email me privately... I know longer know where your addy is and I would love to get in touch with you. :) It has been a while..... Also are there any listers in Australia or New Zealand who have heard of Margot Smith?? Her latest CD entitled `Taste` released in April and she is currently on tour with plans for a early fall US tour. If anyone wants more info on her please email me. She is someone who I have really been pushing for a US tour from since 1996 after she took almost 5 years away from studio to work on the release of her 2nd CD. Steve, I think you should get a copy of `Taste` and maybe try and boost her in the US. Until next time- It's me! Hi guys, A little late, but I went to Alice's B-day party (local S.F. radio station) and me and my friend got to meet Paula twice! She was so cool. The first time we met her was before her sound check and we got our Cd's signed and the second time we met her was after the sound check and we wanted her to sign our foreheads, but she said no because our faces were too pretty so.....oh how I love her! But she did sign my friends jacket and my T-Shirt, so that was great. I made firends with a VIP of the radio station so he told when and where she would be exiting after sound check so I love him for it! Then, because we showed up 6 hours before the show started we got front row-we were up against the stage-it was general admission-we gave her tigerlillies and she thanked us with the," Oh, you're sooo sweet!" She's so fuckin' cool! Her set was so awesome-I especially liked "Throwing Stones" live, she yelped like a dog, can you get any cooler then that? Anyway, If anyone wants to get more details on my meeting with Paula Cole, e-mail me privately-I'm excited to tell it minute by minute, oh yah, did I say that I got to hug her? Well I did, ughhh!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just kill me now-luv her, just luv her!
