At the end of it she slammed her piano sending wood flying. Robbie posted about this as he was there, saying there was a disagreement between Paula and the film crew. Anyway, I thought the performances were excellent but the visual quality was kind of washed out - she was underlit - making her look very pale and cold. The sound is OK on my tape but my TV isn't hooked up to my stereo so I don't know for sure. It's too bad she didn't have someone to sing harmony on "Carmen" - it is so lovely with it, and I treasure my memory of Sarah doing that at last year's Lilith in Hartford. > >~Hi! > >So what are anyone's thoughts on Paula's Reverb segment?? > >I can't be too complimentary because the recording that I got from a friend >didn't get "Mississippi" (it was first), and the sound quality just sucked! >But it's great to know that even more people are being introduced to Paula- go >girl! > >What about ya'll?? > >Thanks! ~Sharley > > >------------------------------ Oh, and thanks so much for the post about Sarah's free gig in NYC June 1. Do I really want to go all the way into NYC on a weekday to fight a mob so I can hear Sarah do four songs? Well, yeah, but . . . I know Kenn and Honoku will be there, so we'll all be there in spirit.
