I'm wondering if maybe his url was already in use -- There's a www.alanis.com written by people who seem like perfectly decent human beings, although you never know. It could also be someone's mail bomb -- which I honestly regard as dirty pool. If you're going to object, do it honestly to the person's face. (It's not like this fool was advocating something so dangerous that was necessary to get their web page off at all costs.) I also don't care too much for Alanis Morrissette, and found some of his remarks amusing. (Paula COPIED Alanis? In 1994, when Paula was semi-releasing Harbinger, wasn't Ms. Morrissette still in her canadian dance queen phase? We may thus rightfully wonder who's copying who. Also, of course, Paula's not an overly angry wooman either, IMO.) Rob Nease DOn't stop to ask stupid questions, just run. - ------------------------------ To unsubscribe, mail majordomo-test@smoe.org with: unsubscribe harbinger Please note the new majordomo address To buy Paula merchandise from Paula(!) try: http://pw2.netcom.com/~ilml/pcmerch.html Digest, further unsub and problems FAQ at: http://www.netaxs.com/~jgreshes/lists/harbinger.html For This Fire kinda-lyrics write Riphug@aol.com ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 3 Mar 1998 09:26:05 EST From: Riphug Subject: (harbinger) Today's New Releases *Rock and Pop new releases* - --------------------------- - - 98DEG. - 98deg. Greetings to all ! We all arrived in Hamburg Germany today to begin a 3 week promo tour of Europe. All of our shows over here will be radio and TV appearances. This trip has us all over the place in the next 3 weeks. Our scheduled return to the States is on March 25th. We will have a week off and then we play a couple of shows on the west coast. After another short break , we begin touring the US & Canada starting mid April. I will not go into detail about dates because things can change so easily. For those fans down under, we are scheduled to go to Austrailia mid-May for about 2 weeks. Our spring and summers are still being planned but it looks like we will do some Lilith dates again in 1998. As of now, it looks like we will jump on the Lilith Tour somewhere mid-August and stay on til the end of the Lilith Tour. Lilith is possibly going to Europe after the US / Canada run and we will probably also go to Europe for some dates ! Hope everyone is doing well and I'll try to drop in from time to time to let you all know how Europe is going for all of us. No wonder I stoped watching these shows ten years ago. The only bright moment in the show was Paula’s performance. and she only got one and half minutes. I was also excited to see the “soy bomb” guy doing his thing during Dylan’s dull performance. It really did brighten up that segment. So what’s new with Grammy apearantly nothing. I know that they like OLD people. I knew that since they gave the song of the year award to Frank Sinatra’s “New York, New York” in 1980’s > This was business as usual but I really give kodos to Paula for not sticking to the norm by doing her "Jolene" human beatbox and demonstrating her live act. One must break the banal exsitance of usualness. Spontanious is good. Not like all the other act (to save the few). You know Paul Krassner (comedian) said laugh track is the lowest form of fascistism because when one watches comedy he is expeted to laugh at the same time as the laugh track therefore no freedom and looking back at the Grammy it was like that. You are supposed to do thing that you expected to do and nothing more but there was bright moment when “soy bomb” guy danced. There was uncertainly You didn’t know whether he was there to harm Dylan or not but there was this spontanility at that moment!!!! I also watched VH1’s coverage and this woman keeps taking and talking crap It was endless like Hansen's performance on the Grammy If you people really think Dylan deserved best album think again and try hearing “Highway 61 revisted” or For James Taylor listen to his debute alubm “James Taylor” on Apple records. Again Grammy shoud not be given awards to past achivement Frankly I am not a Dylan fan. I walked out on his performance when I was watching “Bangla Desh Concert” and that was on video I like Leneard Cohen better. Hey how about Paula doing cover of his song like Tori Amos.
