It's got that wonderful familiar "Story sound." And an artist I asked about a couple of weeks ago, Lynne Saner, is another artist whose voice you will like if you like Jonatha Brooke. However, I wrote to her to ask her where I could find her CD's and she told me that she had twins eight months ago and hasn't been working since then. How > many on your mailing list? If we can generate enough interest to sell > 300 posters then he would do one of her :-) That seems pretty self-explanatory. He'll do it if 300 of us will buy it. As I recall, they're $30 each. I can't find the website now, so I can't confirm that. Even if I'm off on the price, I know the posters are no more than 30 bucks, so I'm game. Anyone else? If enough *serious* interest is generated to the Harbinger list from this message, then perhaps I can compile a list of names of those individuals who are sincerely interested. That's really the only way we're going to know if we're even close to having 300 people who'd want the poster. Bottom line... if you aren't positive that you'd want one of the posters and that you're going to have a spare thirty bucks to put toward the thing, then you probably shouldn't raise your hand. It'd pretty much suck to make the quota and then find out that half of the people who claimed to be interested had decided to back out. Also, I know that it's difficult to commit to something like this sight unseen, but it's not like anyone is asking anyone else to sign a contract or anything. If you end up hating what he comes up with, then you don't buy it. I think they're really just trying to find out if we have enough folks on the list to merit making the thing. Was anyone else under the assumption that she would be singing "Me" to promote the new single? Maybe I'm just nuts! John Goodman introduced Paula and she started with IDWTW at the piano. A few people have commented that Paula seemed "too" into it, however this is one of the major reasons I love Paula! I mean one can tell she really gets involved with what she is saying and doing. I admire her for this. She did change up the song a bit Steven. She added a neat, passionate/forceful ohhh (goes down in key), ohhh (up in key) near the end of the song. This I believe is Paula's signature sound, at least for me it is. Does anyone else agree? She finished the song, the crowd seemed to go nuts, she stood up and thanked the crowd with her quick up arm motion, then motioned towards the band. This was all we saw of Paula until the ending credits. Paula stood next to John Goodman, and Dan Ackroyd stood on the other side of Goodman. Goodman thanked Paula and they rolled the credits. Paula stands there, kinda just by herself while all the other participants in the show hugged and oggled, then Paula turned and hugged Molly Shannon and then shook Tim Meadows hand, then we lost feed. My friend and I went out last night after Amtgard and got coffee and went to scope out this guy I have been talking to on IRC. So went went to Starbuck's and on over to Hasting's to "shop". I was only expecting to scope out this guy and look for some software and go. We spent nearly 2 hours between coffee and just wasting time at the store one looking for this guy and two checking out some of my eclectic taste in music. I have actually turned this Paula Cole fan on to Leah Andreone and Taja Sevelle and some other stuff I listen to. Anyways I wasn't really planning to buy anything when I found a copy of Holly McNarland's CD 'stuff'. Since I went to Lilith Fair back in July I have been dieing to find a copy with no luck. So I picked it up and we went to check out and there low and behold was "the guy" I have been talking to for a month plus some. I looked horrible so I refused to say anything but once I got home I emailed him I think he is FINE. So we check out and we are in my friend's truck and going to get my car at another friend's house when I pop in the CD I bought and we listen to 'Elmo' the only track I had at the time heard from Holly and he falls in love with it. We got my car and I came home and popped the CD in my computer and listened to the rest and I think the best songs are 'Elmo' and 'water'. Just wondering if anyone has the CD and can make comments on the fave tracks to them.
