The live version of Tell Me was just her and two guitar players.=0A= =0A=95A couple of weeks ago, the DJs at KQPT (100.5 somehwere in Californ= ia)=0Aannounced that Desmond Child had seen Billie Myers at a dance club = and=0Aapproached her about producing an album. The ladder 3.45 Total running time : 58.18 CD: White covered, with a black outline of the boots shot on the back cover. Right hand side contains the track listing, the left hand side has the imago and WB logos on plus the copyright notices. On the bottom (covering the lower parts of the 'boots') is the following: Produced, engineered and mixed by Kevin Kitten Words and music by Paula Cole Published by highface music and Ensign Music Corporation (BMI) All rights administered by Ensign Music Corporation CD case inside cover: harbinger (in lower case) written down the left hand side, in what looks like real handwriting (as opposed to printed text). The rest of the cover is white with a negative picture (ie reversed) of what I assume is Paula's hands. Left hand has two rings on, the left hand's right most two fingers cover the the right hand's left most two fingers and the right hand's thumb is above the left hand. CD case back cover: Black and white picture of (again what i assume is Paula) someone wearing a black top, white trousers (pants) or long white skirt and a pair of black boots with two tone laces. The boots are partially done up. We can see the lower arms and hands of the pictured person. The left hand has two plain gold (another assumption) bands on. One on the wedding finger (7th) and one on the index finger. To the left of the picture is the track listing (without running times) and below this and to the left of the left boot is all rubbish that record companies put on CD's Booklet front cover: Is dominated by a picture of Paula's upper body, wearing a pinstripe suit jacket. She is looking down from the camera and her hands are brought up to her throat in an almost clawing manner. The already mentioned rings are on her hands. Paula Cole is printed above the shoulder and to the left of her head. Booklet back cover: Is predominantly black. Paula is wear a dark (or possibly blacked out) top, her hands are crossed, left over right, at just above the wrists and she's got those rings on. Above, and in the middle of the hands, is the track listing (again with no running times). Top right is what I assume is the code for this CD. The hands are in a picture, which is slightly less black than the rest of the cover (if that makes sense). Booklet contents: Booklet is 6 pages and contains the lyrics to each song along with the credits for each song. There are five pictures in it. These are: page 1: Along the right edge of the page, Paula is crouching and is facing the camera directly. The picture is cut in half. page 2: The hands picture from the inside CD case cover. It's upside down. page 4: 2/3 body shot of Paula, cut off at the thigh and right shoulder. Picture is located along the lower right hand edge of the page. Paula has a button up top of some sort and a pair of black pants with a large buckled belt on. page 5: Picture is located in the centre of the page and is of Paula wearing a dark suit jacket. Her left hand looks like its scratching near her left temple area. Again, it's cut off at the thighs. page 6: Picture is located in the centre of the page and is of Paula crouching. She isn't looking at the camera and is wearing the dark outfit and black boots. Although crouching, she appears to be in a slight awkward position. Booklet extra page: My booklet has a cut off and send away for more info request slip. The front of this is the hands shot again (which is also upside down). The back is the shot of the boots that's on the back CD cover - without any text. This Fire: 9362 - 46424 - 2 Track list: 1. Tiger 4.18 2. Where have all the cowboys gone? 4.26 3. Throwing stones 3.47 4. Carmen 3.42 5. Mississippi 5.06 6. Nietzsche's eyes 5.31 7. Road to dead 3.41 8. ME 5.00 9. Feelin' love 5.38 10. Hush, hush, hush 4.22 11. I don't want to wait 5.19 Total running time : 50.59 CD: Green covered with a pink negative picture (of what looks like the top of a tree or flower or some sort of explosion), with Paula Cole and directly underneath it This fire printed on the top of the disc. Along the rim (running from the 'T' of This to roughly the 'e' of Fire) is all the usual rubbish that is somewhere on the CD. CD case inside cover: Contains a two tone green rolling country side type shot. There is no text on the picture. CD case back cover: Is roughly divided into thirds. It's a black background with flames along the bottom third of the cover. The middle third is the track list (without running times) and Paula's credit as the producer. The top third contains the record company bumph, bar code and logos. Booklet front cover: Has a black bordered picture and the words Paula Cole above it and This Fire below it. The picture is of a green hill, with blue sky above it and fluffy white clouds in the sky. Paula is naked on a swing (swing not attached to anything in shot), with her head back. Swing appears to be moving from left to right in direction (this is a static shot but what it looks like it's doing). Along the bottom quarter of the shot there are flames, which also reach up towards Paula's lower body. Booklet back cover: Same kind of layout as the front cover. Black bordered picture, picture is of a single hill which is stretching up and covers about 3/4 of the picture. There is blue sky and white clouds above the top of the hill. Paula is naked, with her back and left leg towards the camera. She is sitting on the ground with her arms around her legs and her head back. There appears to be some sort of chain or flower ring around her left ankle. There is a pink Dandelion (the picture on the CD?) rising from her left knee are and going on to above the top of the hill. Flames also occupy the bottom quarter of the picture. Booklet contents: Booklet is 6 pages and does not contain the lyrics or credits for each song in the same way that Harbinger does. Page 1: Is plain white with some text in the centre of the page. This text is: 'This work is dedicated to the inner fire of all life. May our seeds of light open, brighten, and sow peace on earth.' The text is handwritten in style. Page 2: Is a black and white picture of the Dandelion and flames along the bottom 1/3 of the shot. Page 3: Is plain white with the track list and running times on it. Page 4: Is plain white with the various credits on it. Page 5: Is plain white with the lists of thanks on it. Page 6: Is a black and white photo of Paula with her head in her hands. She's wearing a white t-shirt (with her belly button showing) and black (dark) pants. Her right hand is visible and her left is hidden by her hair. Most of her face is covered with her hands and hair. Her is a shadow on the wall behind her. Other note: I appear to have the 'Walmart' version of the album, as I haven't heard motherfucker through it and she says 'liar' a lot. You may want to see if anyone else in the UK has the same version. Where have all the cowboys gone?: W0406CD 9362 - 43886 - 2 Track list: 1. Where have all the cowboys gone? 3.47 (album version edit) 2. Hush, hush, hush 4.23 (album version) 3. Where have all the cowboys gone? 3.57 (E-Team drugstore radio-edit) Total running time : 12.10 CD: Is predominantly light blue. Paula Cole is printed in pink along the top, WB is to the left of the hole, CD and codes are to the right and the track list is below it. There is the usual rubbish around the rim of the disc. CD case: There is no covering in or on the case. Front cover: Is of Paula in a cobblestone street. She is wearing a black top, with a black choker on (I'm not quite sure what it's called - reminds me of a country music type tie). Paula's body is slightly away from the camera, but her face is towards it. 'Paula Cole' is printed in pink and the track title is printed in black below it. Back cover: Is a slightly lighter blue than the CD, with the CD code (9362-43886-2) printed in black (top right) and everything else printed in pink. The rest is the track listing (including the running times), various credits and the album code. I don't currently have IDWTW so I can't help you there. I do have a question though. Hey everyone.... As many of you have heard, Eastern Canada (and the north eastern States) is still recovering from the 'ICE STORM OF 1998'. Now, you've heard me describe the weather here in Vancouver, but it would seem to easily pale in comparison to what's being called 'The Storm of the Millenium!' (and decade, and century, etc.) Whatever you describe it as, it's been pretty crazy on the east coast, and let's hope all the chilly people get some warmth back into their homes and lives in order to survive the rest of the winter months. Things are getting a little better for them, but it's not over quite yet, unfortunately. Our best (and warmest!) thoughts for those surviving the cold. I think one of the worst things about this storm is that it's going to make people from outside Canada re-confirm their worst fears about Canadians living in bone-chilling weather for most of the year, and residing in igloos, and taking the pet polar bear for a walk in the park. Heck! It's almost got ME convinced! OK. In Sarah news, there's quite a number of things happening: Artists Against Racism is holding its first online fundraising auction. Two Sarah separate items are available to bid on: an art print and an autographed photo. For information on bidding, visit their Online Auction page (http://aar.vrx.net/auction.html). The auction ends at 11:59pm, January 31,1998. Sarah will be visiting Japan in early February to perform a couple of shows: Feb.7th finds her in Osaka performing at Merparc Hall, and on Feb.9th she'll be in Tokyo to perform at the International Forum. There's also a fairly good chance that Sarah will do some dates in Australia after her shows in Japan, so stay tuned for info on that, or check out the tour dates section of her web site for updates. No word at this time about any other overseas dates. Sarah is also set to perform at the Juno Awards here in Vancouver on Sunday, March 22nd. The Juno's are the Canadian equivalent of the Grammy Music Awards, and will be broadcast live on CBC-TV on that day. We'll post more details when they become available. You can actually attend this show by getting tickets through TicketMaster. If you are located in the States, chances are that you don't get CBC-TV, unless you're situated on the border of Canada and the US. In other TV-related news, Sarah is set to perform on CNN's 'Showbiz Today' on January 27th. She'll be interviewed and will perform two songs. 'Showbiz Today' usually airs from 2:30pm - 3:00pm (EST), but also airs another four times, so your chances are fairly good on catching her appearance sometime during that day. On January 30th, Sarah will again perform on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and almost a month later will be seen on the Late Show with David Letterman on February 24th. As per the norm for TV appearances, check your local listings for details. I should note a significant change in the Sarah touring schedule, the list of which I'll add below again since there are a number of changes in relation to ticket on-sale dates: the show listed for Portland, Oregon on April 1st was INCORRECT. The show will be taking place in *Portland, MAINE* at the Cumberland Co. Civic Centre. Pardon the confusion here folks, but we got the states mixed up. NO complaining Oregon, since you DO have a date in Eugene. It's time to give Maine a chance to see Sarah, right? We should also mention that the COMPLETE list of dates for her spring tour have been set. Also, a number of people have noted that Sarah is not doing any Canadian dates for this particular tour, which is correct. All the dates are in the U.S. for her spring tour (except for the Juno's and the MusiquePlus 'I & I'). However, when Lilith Fair hits the road again this summer, there will most likely be a number of Canadian dates scheduled. I'm so excited!!! I just ordered tickets for Paula's visit to DC on Feb 14. Sweet! Valentine's Day! Is anybody else going to this one? I'm so happy, I'm bouncing off the walls!! I've never caught a live performance before, so I'm ....I'm.....I can't think of the right words. But I have a grin so wide, I look like a cheshire cat. I just had to tell somebody (everybody!). And I'm so happy that Phil has been redeemed in the media. I knew he would be, but it's great that it finally happened. It's a Christmas we'll never forget. I just feel so bad about the whole thing. Life is such a challenge sometimes. No matter what happens to psycho Kerrie, it can never make up for the trauma she caused to Phil. Hi everyone. I've only joined the list for a week but the discussions here seems soooo interesting. Also to Phil, you'll be right, mate. It's great to find out about other artists here, especially when I haven't heard of half of them and I'd like to get a "feel" for the music before I foolishly commit myself to anything. Reading all the stuff about Billie Myers, it really tempted me to throw in another name. She is Tanita Tikaram from the UK. She's not new but I have never heard any comments on her music. I've got all her stuff and I have to say she's addictive. Any comments on TT? Ta. Anyone familar with this song? The name sounds like something I should know, but it's not ringing any really clear bells. Peace.
