If you are trying to decide whether or not to buy "Hush," I would say to you, "Hesitate no longer!" Seriously, folks, it's a great quality bootleg recording. What's especially wonderful is that you can hear Paula's piano very well!! Call Perry at RDR and order it today. The live versions of "Throwing Stones" and "Jolene" make it worth the $30 it costs to get it delivered to your door. Also, the "This Fire" songbook is great for those of us who want to play Paula's stuff. Go buy it if you haven't already. Just my .02. Normally I NEVER shop at Walmart except for computer stuff. Anyway, I was so irritated when I listened to Throwing Stones a la Walmart. This is one reason I try not to buy stuff from them. They are not the boss of me, and I don't need their protection. But living in a rural area, they seem to have a better supply of computer stuff, so.... I have two copies of THIS FIRE on cassette (one for work, one for home), so I know how Throwing Stones should sound. I wonder how many people are out there with the Walmart version, oblivious to the revision? The original is so wonderfully angry. And while the repeated Liar insertion (censorship) sounds okay, it just lacks the intensity of the original. I ordered a new copy of the CD from the Paula merchandise web site (in the footer :-p ). Figured I'd rather send my money directly to Paula's team than enrich another retailer. I also ordered the Chakra T-shirt!!! I hope to see Paula on feb 14. I'm kinda scared of the venue (9:30 club in DC) because it's general admission, but I think I'm going to brave it anyway because I've never seen Paula live.
